Our vendor has informed us that the Magicforce 68-Key Mini Mechanical Keyboard will be available to them by this weekend. The vendor will be working hard to prepare this order for shipment and is expecting to ship the Keyboards from their location early next week. We will continue to check in with the vendor and update the group again as soon as everything is en route to us.

I think you're being really uninformed about how the keyboard was gonna be dropped. The estimated ship date was slated for April 4, and was said before the drop ended. On top of that, today is April 1. We're not late, yet, let alone late a month. Lastly, at the time of the drop, the value of what was being offered were particular switches and particular colors at a particular price point.
I find that your reply is awfully biased and based on your own feelings, and lack any constructive criticism.
SyhnisterSeriously, I don't understand why everyone is bitching. We knew when we placed the order in January that it wouldn't be shipped until April 4 at the earliest. Just because Amazon has it now and they can't cancel doesn't make it anyone's fault but your own. Amazon didn't have it available those months ago which is why we all jumped on here. Stop bitching at MD for something completely beyond their control.
Hey everyone, I'm as frustrated as you are with the current status of this keyboard. Before everyone here in the community started sharing information about the Magicforce 68, it was considered a failed product by the vendor. However, it's no surprise that other retailers started calling about this keyboard after everyone here proved how much demand there was for it.
In fact, before we did our group buy, different switch options weren't even something they considered. It was only through our group buy were they able to leverage their production capabilities to offer all the switches and options you are seeing on Amazon now. It goes without saying, but it is incredibly unprofessional and unfair to us that they've shipped out to their other customers before fulfilling our group buy when it is all of you that made this product what it is.
I've already reached out to the vendor to see if there are additional savings for us and will update everyone when I hear back.

YanboWuTear them a new one. They should NOT be selling to amazon and other retailers BEFORE finishing what's already on their plate. It is a HORRIBLE business practice and they should have to deal with the blowback from it.

YanboWuI know its annoyed me to no end this was my first step into mass drop, This has made it a bit of a bitter one. This is the first mechanical keyboard I've gone for due to at the time it been a decently cheep one to start with so I ordered a Black unit white led with cherry black variant which was roughly $77 (with uk delivery). When low and behold less that 2 -3 weeks after the drop they popped up like wildfire on amazon for as low as £20-29 all be it with non charry or galaron switches. Which drives me to no end as we are waiting so long for ours to come through.
Blarg just needed to vent using this rubber dome keyboard is getting to me :(

WeeNinjaNot just that, but they have a "like" button on every comment, but there's no way to sort by likes or popularity, so seems kinda pointless. With drops like this, where there's very little info about the board, there is a link to an imgur gallery, a link to aliexpress... those should be at the top.

This is my first drop - is this kind of delay typical of Massdrops? I'd be impressed if the vendor was permanently put on a blacklist and their products banned from this site.

as much as I agree with you that they should've been more transparent with quantity counts the day of receiving the PO, it's a damn keyboard, man.. yeah, we gave our hard earned $. yeah, it said estimated ship date as the 4th.
I bet you the vendor didn't even tell massdrop they sent a shorted shipment! given that, massdrop received what they did, triage moded, found out what happened, got their answers, notified customers and we just wait a bit longer. the wait is killing me, as I really really want my board, but you have to understand these things happen. just a bit longer, dude.

jason.rHonestly not interested in waiting. And it would have taken maybe 20 minutes for them to just do a stock count to make sure they were all there. I'm off searching for a new keyboard.

Neblin7Just read everyone's usage of both Gateron's and standard Cherry Switches (GH, DT and OCN) and most stand behind the Cherry Switches when it came to longevity.
I was curious in just trying the gaterons out but in the end the choice was clear, the original Cherry's were the way to go.
This of course is just my decision, so don't go scribing it upon any Tablet and run down the mountain and later proclaim it as the only truth worth knowing ; )

I for one am still going to be happy with the keyboard. I will never trust Magicforce in a group buy again, but I don't mind a tiny bit of wait.

Cool, except I'm not talking about your choices, I'm talking about mine. I wanted a specific layout of switches and LED's, and it's not on amazon, and I'm fine with waiting. Which is why I said that.

2 weeks of waiting after the 4 months you had already decided to wait for when you first signed up for the drop isn't the biggest deal in the world. Get over it.
