I am excited about this drop! I got this for my dad because when he barbacues later at night he always gets out a big light stand and it takes a lot of time. Now he won't have to waste time getting some sort of light set up, he will just be able to turn this one on!

Is there any info on the LEDs? If the CRI isnt good, you wont be able to tell if its done or not.

I'm curious too, I bbq at night sometimes and could definitely see the utility of this. Is it the price? I was also concerned about having a battery so close to heat

NotaDrYou can buy a really nice headlamp for 30 bucks, and you aim the light where you need it. With it been on you head it won't melt, or discolor from heat. I smoke pork butts and meatloaf all the time with a headlamp.
