It’s a go! Thanks to all of you for being a part of this successful drop. We have submitted the group’s order with the vendor for the Maratac AA Flashlight Rev 2. They are currently preparing the shipment and once we receive it at our warehouse in New Jersey, we’ll separate everything into individual orders and send them out to you! We expect your orders will be in transit from our warehouse by 7/9.
In the meantime, we’ll do everything we can to update you on information we receive from the vendor about your order status so you know the location of your order throughout the process.
Thanks again for being a part of this community! You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 6/30 .

Man, I love the look and size of the light, and want something with a low-light mode to replace my Streamlight Stylus Pro, but I've become addicted to the tail cap button...

Does anyone know if this flashlight can take a 3.7v battery? I have a 4Sevens AA flashlight that's similar, and I love that I can replace the AA with the 3.7v size-equivalent battery for an even brighter light. I'd be interested in this drop if the Maratac could do that too.

rharderMany people say the light works with 14500(output should be as twice as bright), but you'll be voiding the warranty using anything higher than a 1.5V AA.

A great flashlight, but these are Rev 2 which only have 2 brightness modes. Hopefully these will come up again as Rev 3 spec some time in the future.

@Blade4u the shipped-out message was from a millenia ago. Hint: look at the bottom right of Tyler's post.

Love Maratac's products. Have three of their AAA versions and reviewed the R-AA also. They need to put that one on here.

how do you put the flashlight in to Low Lunar mode???

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of having a sub-lumen output level to supposedly reduce "flashback"?

ReflexionYou'll notice when use EDC a light like this that you'll be using the 125 lumens high mode 99% of the time and the lunar mode maybe once or twice. The high mode is not that bright and the lunar mode is hardly visible.
Making the user twist twice every time they turn the light on would be a bad trade for the sake of usefulness in a situation almost no one finds themselves in(where preservation of their night visibility is critical).
If you do need to preserve your night vision, just cup your hand around the front bezel to block the light as you switch to the lunar mode.
