Looking for a pair of high-performance headphones or IEMs? We’re partnering with Thinksound—a small company that’s built its name on clear, detailed audio and a commitment to sustainability—to offer an exclusive selection of goodies Read More
I enjoyed these very much for roughly 11 hours and 58 minutes. I received the TS02+mic last time these dropped, and I loved them. But I took my eyes off them for literally 2 minutes, and my cat destroyed the cable. This is obviously no fault of Thinksound, but their warranty does not cover "Acts of God."
But I am now happy that I have the chance to get these headphones I enjoyed so much at a great price!
I feel that the TS02's are a pretty decent IEM. They had a very warm sound, and I didn't even know what that meant until I purchased a pair of Sennheiser IE80s. Now, I know it's sort of not fair to compare the 2, but I genuinely liked the warmer, fuller sound of the TS02's and I think they made a great pair of headphones for listening to vocal/natural tracks.
Also, these had some great bass. Punchy.
Wow, this drop was NOT worth it. I got the TS01
I expected two headphones, and the ones I got are so bad I actually threw them out right away.
The white earpods you get with the iPhone are FAR better than these.
This was a complete waste of money.
I’ve got AKG 7XXs and ATH-m50x that I use as daily drivers, and I use B&O headphones when I’m on the go.
These were bought as “backups” but they’re so bad that I threw them out straight away…
RasmusMillerSo...
you're upset you got unlucky, when you knew the odds from the beginning?
you didn't burn them in as Thinksound always recommends?
you bought earbuds when you already had some you liked?
you threw away what you were only planning on using as backups anyway?
Well, I got my EDCs and they are, indeed, quite a treat. I feel like they sound better than my Triple driver Onemores... but that could be because they just simply fit and seal better.
I have a question though. How the hell do I keep the cables from hurting the top of my ears? =( I haven't tried the second cable yet, but the twisted cable that's already angled is so terribly uncomfortable.
TLemelinThe wire is definitely my least favorite part about the HEM4s... mostly because it also tends to fall off the top of my ear as well. The included shirt clip might help in stabilizing the wire; I've found it to be helpful when going on a long walk. This could also potentially keep the wire from scraping the ear. The other wire has a mic I believe, so the cable isn't braided. Perhaps this could also help with chaffing due to the texture and added mic weight. Hope this helps! I never really cared for the fit of over the ear cables but they sure do isolate well.
akg m220s are headphones right? i thought we were talking about iems but anyhow, if we are talking about headphones, my daily driver right now would be HD6xx (fully enjoying them right now). However on normal basis I would have to call my stax my favourite daily drivers
that sucks. If you find them let me know and we can give you a loyalty discount. All our newer versions have been improved over previous and still come with a 1 year warranty. Our glue has completely changed over the years to make them way more durable as have our cables and plugs.
Am I the only one that thinks this seems to good to be true? For $40 you are assured of getting at least a $75 set of earphones and you're most likely to get a $90 pair??
BrodyBWell, this was 4 weeks ago during the last time it dropped. Its possible that most of them got bought out and now sellers with higher prices are the only ones offering it.
Warning! Ive said this multiple times on other blueboxes, but the value of the product is put on your package. Not the price you pay here. This can give extra costs like taxes and stuff. Be warned.
Lottery or not, you are purchasing something, a transaction is made, an invoice generated. On the invoice you state the amount you payed, not the MSRP or some other made up price. Your customs declaration needs to state what is on the invoice aka what you payed.
Massdrop and/or thinksound has failed to do this. That could very well be listed as a fraudulent declaration.
Also, by declaring the MSRP(which is bloated) you end up paying elevated duties. (in my case these IEMS ended up costing close to the double of the MSRP). Talk to me again about how I got cheap earbuds?
I joined this drop as a test, and it has failed miserably. If you are going to punish international customers as hard as you do now, then have some decency and don't offer this service outside your own country at all.
drefannI just got mine this morning and faced the same issue, buying 2 of these the package invoice is labeled to 220$, despite the payment only being 60$, cause of this I had to pay 42€ import tax (EU), making this a much less favorable deal and something I now regret.
Massdrop really needs to start putting up stuff from EU retailers or retailers with EU warehouses. These are killing EU customers. Paying $13 to ship a pair of earbuds is ridiculous.
