AzuReverie So story time... When we got our first office, let's just say it wasn't in exactly the best neighborhood of SF. And though we quickly outgrew the space, we somehow managed to use the office for more than a year due to some creative tetris'ng of desks (*2). As you can imagine, we had very little meeting space (*3) so as a rule, all internal meetings were to be conducted outside on walks.. around the block, or to local coffee shops, grocery stores, patios, wherever. Since our specific area wasn't exactly featured in the SF Tourism pamphlets, you can imagine that there were many sights and hazards along each walking meeting (including of course the syringe).
So the syringe is a representation and constant reminder of our humble beginnings and to not lose sight of it.
*1 - Everything you hear about SF rent being crazy is pretty much true.
*2 - Double decker desks were jokingly proposed at one point.
*3 - More than one conference call with our warehouse was conducted in our washroom with 4 people crowded around a phone.
