SamerTry replacing the switch and cleaning out the contacts? You can swap the switch with one that works to see if that's the issue before buying replacements. Please be sure to let us know if this technique works because we all need to know whether the boards are going bad or if the switches are unreliable.
PhelanTrinhAlright here is what's happening:
First it started with E
Then I changed the switch of the E and it was ok for a day.
Then the problem started with with letter A , then S
Then I switched the A and S
Then it moved on to K
Then I changed the K
It feels like a virus spreading haha I don't know each time I change a switch
Another one goes bad.
i don't think it's the switches but Ill keep experimenting for the community.
(When I mean i'm changing the switches i'm just replacing them with others keys I don't use like the arrow , delete etc) I don't have replaceable switches)
oh I'm using Halo clear btw.
PhelanTrinhYou mean like unplugging the keyboard from the usb?
I forgot to add something.
About 2 weeks ago the keyboard completely died.
I was working and then boom it froze.
I unplugged it and replugged it and nothing. The LEDs wouldn't even turn on.
I tried it on a different pc same thing, so I thought alright this keyboard is dead.
I put it aside and went back to my razer keyboard.
The next day I tried the CTRL keyboard again and it magically worked.
Then the problems started to happen after this event.
SamerTried resetting it? Just a tip, but people who have problems really should give a very detailed troubleshooting history so we don't have to guess at what happened or what you have tried to do. But seems like you should take the refund.
SamerHappening to me as well. Tried re-flashing, different cables, switching usb port on keyboard, changing plug orientation, different port on PC, swapping caps/keys. Nothing has worked. At this point I am just waiting for some of my other keyboard orders to come through.
SamerThe problem seems to have started a few weeks ago for me and started affecting many keys at the same time. I've had the keyboard since launch. This suggests to me that the problem may not be with the keys themselves but with the board (given I had not changed the firmware for months).
I've since increased the debounce delay to 15 which has helped a lot, although it still happens occasionally.
SamerI think I know the reason for this, if you open up the board and look att the hotswapp modules, some are probably sitting loose. You can fix this by soldering them in again
That's at least what happened to me.
