Has anyone compared either the Liquid Carbon or the SDAC to the Topping DX7? That seems like the most direct existing competitor on the market, since it's roughly the same price, and has the LCX+SDAC combo beat on features -- but probably not in the amp section(?)

kukkurovacaThe LCX has more power according to the specs. I have not heard either but from what I heard the LCX should be better sounding amp too.
The topping does have some nice features and a true balanced dac, but I am not sure if that makes it better sound wise (balanced). I think a better amp will matter more, but I could be wrong.
Sorry if that does not help much. But if you wanted a cheaper balanced amp options I do know of the aune x7s for $200 or the nuforce ha200 massdrop had them on super sale for $130 each if I remember and you can buy 2 and run them in mono block mode. Then pair either with a cheap dac like the sdac or get a true balanced dac for more money.
