Provided power supply inadequate
I ordered this amp with the 'Standard Gain - 240v option' and expected to receive a 15VAC minimum 400mA PSU in accordance with the amp designer himself: "The ideal transformer would be rated at 14 - 16 VAC and 400 mA or higher".
Instead I received a 12VAC 200mA PSU which is not enough to drive the amp correctly.
I have to have the volume turned up way high and with max gain to get reasonable output levels which is opposite to all my other amps.
Looks like I'm gonna have to provide my own PSU for this one and see if that makes it behave like the amp that everyone raves about.
