I think it’s primarily an aesthetic choice. It’s heavier, but it gets a beautiful patina that aluminum and titanium don’t. It’s a great light and the added weight doesn’t stop me from carrying it regularly.

Last time I ordered a Drop flashlight the offering was cancelled although the same item was widely available on Amazon or eBay. Reason given was lack of availability. Which was a whole lot of BS. I'll never order a Drop flashlight again.

bcminkNot really relevant to this question or drop, as the Path is made by Drop, and not sold on Amazon or Ebay, like some of the other third party offerings they drop on occasion.

Manufacture and some distribution is likely shut down, because people still work in factories and shipping centers.

Some of them have shipped. I have one but I got it a few months back. Sometimes it just takes a while to receive products from drop.

I got mine in copper. And delivery was rather swift having in mind COVID-19 issues.

The light can be run in either a 1-cell or 2-cell configuration, simply unscrew and remove the center section.
