Ok, got the HD6XX today, oh yeah what a beauty! However there is a problem...anyone noticing the EXTREME clamping force? Gheez, it feels like these are squeezing the crap out of ones ears and skull! Any safe ideas how to get the headband to loosen up? Fantastic sound, however that clamping force really detracts from enjoying whatever one is listening to. So for right now fantastic sounding cans, unfortunately so tight this detracts from being "unnoticeable"

XpfreakPeople usually have foam blocks that can loosen the headphones overtime, you can also place some books in between the headphones

XpfreakI’m glad, mine haven’t shipped yet, and while I do like a little clamp, (I like to be able to sit up in bed, or look down while doing homework without them sliding, or little movement) I am looking forward to the opportunity to be able to adjust it! Glad it worked!

Bluebird55Little clamping is an understatement, feels like they gonna crush yer head seriously! Without the suggested adjustment maybe 10 minutes wear time max...so the YouTube fix is brilliant & safe! Thanks again & kudos

CokemanCheck bluebird's you tube link, the demonstrated method is safe and it works without causing any damage. Way less risky than "stretching" for sure!
