Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

For everyone waiting on a 6XX shipment, the first units are completing production and will begin the journey from Ireland to our NJ warehouse in the next couple weeks. If everything continues as planned, we should begin shipping orders in early/mid November about a month before the original expected ship date of 12/18/17.
As for the exciting announcement, remember how I said the the long lead time on this 6XX drop comes from Sennheiser’s parts suppliers? Well, maybe they felt bad about the shorter cables taking 6 months, maybe it worked out better for their costs, or maybe it worked better for Sennheiser’s costs (at the end of the day we don’t know why) but they provided parts for 25,000 units instead of the ~20,400 we ordered in June.
What does this mean? It means we’ve got an extra 4500 units going into production that will arrive in time for delivery by Christmas!
What are we going to do with these 4500 units? We’re launching a drop on the 13th (this friday, tomorrow) at 6am PST where these units will be available with shipping to addresses in the US guaranteed by Christmas.
These will disappear quickly so set your alarms - and for everyone who’s already in the drop, get some popcorn and watch the rush, you’ll get your tracking info before any of these orders ship.
I also decided to go with the Teac AI-101DA desktop amp/dac. A bit overpriced at $300 but not bad for $200. If I decide I don't like the Teac, I can always go with something else and have someone else use this for a desktop rig.
I will likely not use the TEAC, however. I have a brand-new Denon AVR-s710w, a cheapo 7.2 ch. receiver that will work perfectly in this tiny bedroom/PC sound system with surely enough output for those HD6XX, solving both my amp and dac issues. Instead, I think the TEAC would be a great way to get sound for a tv without a big electronics box getting in the way. Small and perfect for the chore. With the sub-out, even better!
AND theres extras for the ones that missed out!!
i wonder where that dumb troll is at? probably crying bc everyone has a pair of 6xx at the lowest price now LOL
I live in Canada and so am wondering if I am grouped with the new batch or old batch.
