Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

I may have more upvotes than you now, but remember 6 months ago when I had zero and you had 200, who do you think is the more helpful person here?
Once again the O2 isn't a powerful amp, it may have been at one stage but with the likes of Aune or Schiit, it's no longer as suitable in this price range. The power is a bit short for the HD6XX. Myself and five others tried to tell you this. You even dismissed NwAvGuy's own measurements, I'd think the guy who designed his own amp (the O2) would know what he's talking about.
And also once more, provide your own arguments based on science, if you can't, be nice about it instead of swearing at people you don't agree with.
i don't want to interrupt the friendly conversation the two of you are having, but please don't fall into the pitfall to give "up-votes/likes" to much importance and take it as an argument to judge other folks worthiness.

It's worth nothing, none of us is better than the other, what's the meaning of likes, if you can't be disliked? This "ranking" bullshit is an illusion to generate so called influencers, it would be even nicer for MD if you wouldn't be hiding your drops. Still wonder, it's still possible to hide.
It's the same bullshit as the mass of followers MD auto generated, until a few month ago i had about 100 so called followers, and i knew those names and why they've chosen to follow. Now I've close to 15000, people that don't give a shit, but MD wants us to feel special and might even believe we don't recognize.
In a working community this isn't needed, you build your reputation and acknowledgement through action/words and not with numbers, i know "my" folks and they know me.
Cheers
If you recall, I never disrespected your opinion, only that when you say things like "40mW" is enough for these headphones, it is no longer an opinion, it is a statement of fact, and it rubs me the wrong way.
Most people I talk to around here accept the maths I provide, but you don't seem to care for it, and this also rubs me the wrong way.
If you have an opinion, that's fine. Remember way back when you accused me at listening at damaging volumes before I accused you of the opposite. I've already let go and even endorsed some of your posts, and out of nowhere you just had to bring up an old topic because I didn't agree with 1 thing you said. I've also seen you endorse some of my posts, but withdrew those endorsements when you found out who posted them. It seems like you are the one holding onto old grudges.
What volume do you listen at anyway? On my O2, 50% volume is ok with me most of the time. Bass distortion is pretty obvious on some tracks.
Would you mind clarifying this part? Which Aune/Schiit are you referring to? I'm new to this and just want a reasonable entry-level DAC/AMP combo for my 6xx (budget around $200 -- $300).
Aune has a few more options, the x7s you can get for $200 here on Massdrop, it's amp only. Or T1 that has a built in tube DAC which you can also buy off Massdrop the the same price of a x7s.
ODAC+O2 is not a bad combo, but it will distort with more dynamic tracks, and won't let you listen at much higher than 80dB.
I have my own preferences, but between the three, Schiit is the most colored, Aune is the most forward and O* is the most neutral. I could go into more detail but there is already a fair amount of reading material on each.
