Quick question, no dac and amp yet, running them from laptop to test, they get pretty loud but there is noise(the kind that shouldn't be there) when I turn up the volume, this is normal and its why I need the dac/amp right ?

I_dun_goofedIs it like hissing noises? If so then yes, you'll need an external Dac/Amp, otherwise you will have to figure out a way to ground your laptop better, which can be a chore since I'm assuming you didn't build it yourself. I think the cheapest one you can go for is probably the Fiio E10K, though the product quality is... well just pray you didn't get a defective one.

OakbingYes, pretty much hissing noises, but it shouldn't be a problem with the headphones since its only when I increase the volume(above roughly 80% and its above comfortable levels anyway) from the laptop control, will probably borrow a firefly red to test the dac side of things.

I_dun_goofedIf your computer has enough power to drive it up to listenable volumes, and you don't really want to pursue going after DACs and stuff like that, I have a super cheap alternative you can try. Basically if you hearing hiss at the listening volume you're comfortable with, add an extension cord and you should be hearing the noise a lot less or it'll be gone. If one is not enough add another. The link below is the one I bought, if you can find an even cheaper one by all means. With that you can solve the issue with just a few bucks. If you have an extension cord at home you won't even be spending any money lol. Note that this isn't the best option if you want it to "sound the best", but if you're not really into all that this is the way to go.

OakbingNot getting some equipment would be a waste of good headphones, my plan is o2/oldac in the near future, but will also try this extension cord idea out of pure curiosity.
