If I try to order I see $170 in shipping and handling. I did some math and that could be the 22% import tax for Slovenia plus $50 of shipping. Is that so? I really need to know the final price for this package to get to my door. And in case of a warranty claim or an RMA, how is the item handled? Will I have to ship it back?

Rakija$170 covers only the shipping cost, any customs fees or import duties would be in addition to that. We cover shipping for RMA requests.

WillSo, does $170 get the package to my house, or will I need to pick up the package from the customs? I have a hard time believing just the shipping would cost $170. Maybe $170 for shipping to my door, which would include tax.

RakijaThe shipping weight for the Vast is nearly 30kg so the cost is very high.

WillOk that is understandable Will, but will i get it at my door or will i have to go to customs and pay an extra tax that will mean it will cost me 550$ (monitor price) + shipping tax (varies based on location) + customs tax (again varies based on location) = Total monitor cost?

MikeCecIt looks like it's monitor + shipping + import tax and maybe a customs fee for processing the package. That would be the case for Slovenia, but its probably different for other regions like US or Asia.

MikeCecHey, every country is different and I don't know how your country handles things. That $170 is what it costs us to put it into the UPS system with your address. When the package hits customs, are they going to hold it and make you pick it up? No idea. Are they going to bring it to your door but hit you with a COD for the customs and import taxes? No idea.
Odds are, you've got more experience importing things to your country than I do. Ultimately you're rolling the dice and we likely won't offer global shipping on this in the future due to the associated support costs.

WillThanks for the effort, it's understandable you can't know for every country (fortunately I know for mine). Do you know where this ships from tho (I'm guessing China, but would like to know for sure)? And is there any customs fee or something other than shipping and state tax for the US?

WillThank you Will for the answer. I will find out what the importing legislation is. I'm from Romania and generally I order from EU and there are no customs and they ship straight to my address. And please don't cancel future shipping on this or other products. If it will come under 850$ I see it as great value compared to the local market and if that is the case after I check the import rules and regulations I will be joining the drop next week. Even if it goes beyond 850$ this monitor is still good value for me, but in that case I will probably have to wait for the next drop.

MikeCecWhen ordering inside the EU, you usually pay tax with the product price and then there's no other import tax or customs. This isn't from the EU tho, so you will most likely have to pay import tax because it will go thru customs.

WillIs that shipping weight not a typo? the monitor with the stand is 8.2 kg from the description. Is it suppose to be 30 lb?

zaxoNote: I specify that the "shipping weight" is over 30kg
Vast on a scale != Shipping weight Vast (fully packed, ready to ship) on a scale != Shipping weight
Because these are so large, we're forced to calculate shipping weight as dimensional weight: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dimensional_weight
When packages are above a certain size, you don't weigh them anymore, the shipping carrier uses dimensions and an assumed density to arrive at "shipping weight". In the case of the Vast, it's over 30kg, while the monitor all packed up is around 15kg (I believe).

WillHey @Will ,
By any chance is it possible to get rough dimensions of whole package? I got that it'll weight ~15kg, but as you were saying - most likely dimensions will be prioritized. I'm thinking of using shipping forwarder to get it to my place, but for that I kinda need to make sure that they'll be able to ship it at all. Or is there any kind of reference monitor/package available just to get a bit clearer picture?

GreywindThe HP Omen X35 comes in very large packaging relative to other ultrawide monitors. You might want to check the packaging on that for a possible reference.
