Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. Which of the two will have the best result for headphones like HD650, HE-4XX, M1060, DT-880/600ohms? I wonder.
If anyone could share an opinion about this I will be grateful. thanks.
Based on the sound alone, many amps under $1000 will best the Liquid Carbon in resolution and bass solidity - namely the Audio-gd NFB-28.38, which includes a full-featured DAC/balanced ins/outs, remote control, etc. And I'd would bet that the ~$500 iFi Micro iDSD Black Label portable DAC/amp has noticeably clearer sound.
I'm sure that the Liquid Carbon X will offer excellent performance - at least for casual enjoyment - for its modest price. A better-formed opinion would be to say "This is the best desktop amp under $300".
