These factory seconds are a disaster. The entire dye job is a mess look at how bad this color is, right out of the box. $180 for this are you insane?

I've purchased seconds before. This is well below that quality. I'm not buying seconds for some third rate shoe company. AE seconds are usually really good. the messed up stain is beyond that, and sending it back to AE for a rework would end up costing what i could've gotten these for firsts. Not sure why you want to defend a poor job here.

How is asymmetric heights a "minor" imperfection? Otherwise would be a good deal.

I think you meant to reply to me, maybe? I either missed those pictures, or they just put them up. Still, the wording is very strange. In what way would the shaft height be "interior height"? Either the person at Massdrop responsible for the ad copy messed up the wording, or they're using some bootmaking term that's unintuitive, and not well known.

YabosMcGeeThe terminology for this defect was provided by Allen Edmonds. It's about the height of the top of the upper, not the height of the heel or insole.

Just received my drop, but out of what I expected before Ignore other minor defects, my one got a critical flaw. Shabby leather made the most visible part got blemished seriously This make me very disappointed because two shoes apparently seem a different thing

NeBarclay Typically shoes have serial numbers printed somewhere inside, those numbers MUST MATCH to indicate a true “pair”. If the don’t match, you got junk from the waste bin.

Hi guys, I´m sure this question has been asked a thousand times but I couldn't find it. I was wondering what size should I choose in the 511 last. I have a little bit of a high volume feet (high instep and wide joints) but nothing extreme, I typically wear a UK 8 size and I find a particularly good feet in the Carmina Rain last. What size and width would you recommend? Thanks in advance, Fernando

I just want to add that this last is typically a little shorter. You want to size up and width down if you're wide. I wear a US 8 EE for the other AEs and the US 8.5 E for the 511 fits me perfectly.
