@JonasHeineman Looks great! I personally would love to know more about that new Richlite material, as well, any chance to see the beutiful blue micarta handle with the nimbus blade?
megical_bananaThe info on the page is about as much as we know about Richlite - it’s (recycled) paper fiber and resin. There is not a blue micarta version, did you mean black?
JonasHeinemanSorry, I ment the black/blue/gray g wood, it looks very special imo.
JonasHeinemanI personally had yet discovered this steel, I did join the TJ Schwartz colab, so I will face it anyways. Did somebody had enough experience with it to say how does it compare in wear resistance to other more common steels as cpm154/s30v/D2 etc. I did read that NitroV is a tough steel apart from being very rust resistant, so it does sound very nice for camping/fishing tasks, but it is interesting how long will it be able to hold that edge.

megical_bananaIt's a low-carbide steel, so wear resistance is not going to be its strong suit.

megical_bananaFrom what I've seen it's almost like a near-stainless version of 1095 in that it's tough, very corrosion resistant - but will probably need a quick touch up once every 2 or 3 days to keep razor sharp. Probably more than that if used around a campsite heavily.
I plan to throw mine in my glove box and slide it on a belt while hiking. Might be replacing a folder as a backup to a larger fixed blade on camping trips.
