Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

I can't talk about the sound yet because I'm still listening to the first few songs on these things, but the box was actually shit-tier. They come in a super plain Foxtex/Massdrop branded box, which is fine, but you open the box and they're basically held between some cardboard with bubblewrap around them and it's pretty "wtf" when opening it up.
Look at that fucking wood though. They're beautiful headphones. I wore them for about ten minutes before listening to music and they're pretty comfy. The pads are a'ight and I can see why people want to change them but I don't think I'm going to be doing that right away. They're good enough. I'm also pretty surprised at how nice the cable is. If you don't know Fostex, they basically have vacuum cleaner cables on all their high end headphones. It's still perfectly flexible and really light though.
I will say, after briefly swapping back and forth from these to my K7XX's, I finally understand what it means to have to drive a headphone. The TH-X00 is only 25 ohm impedance and I barely have the TH-X00's at 9 o'clock on my Magni 2 Uber and it's pumping good sound. I unplug them, plug in the K7XX's (hard 62 ohm impedance), and I need to crank that bitch to get the same kind of goodness out of the K7XX's. Super easy to drive the TH-X00.
