Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. That being said, these do seem to fit the bill for the use-case scenario I wanted them for. I like watching ASMR videos to fall asleep, and I usually put on my ATH-ES700 for that purpose. But sometimes I'll wear a sheet mask, or apply some other kind of face mask when I watch these videos, and obviously I don't want to risk getting any face product on my much beloved on-ear headphones, lest I dirty or damage them. So I wanted a cheap V-shaped IEM I could use when I've got some kind of face mask on, not have to worry about it getting in the way, and won't get heartbroken if some goo gets on them and ruins them. And I can get the tingles easily from these, unlike my old Sony earbuds (MDR-EX71).
Although it wasn't before I ordered some SpinFit tips on Amazon. But if the tips I ordered are the right size for my ears (which they should be if the information I found on their sizing is accurate), I won't regret making that additional purchase.
