joy4856After 100 hr, it's still too bright so... I still cannot believe the tester just thought the high is ok before it went to production.

6EQUJ5i read you're comment and tried to listen myself, and I see what you mean. And that's even after a days worth of burn in. maybe, hopefully, it'll be like a fine wine and improve with age, lol (the highs coming down that is).

Leon_MagnusHonestly, I don't think it will improve. I'm at 80+ hours and still sounds the same. Tried to put tissue paper in the pads and that didn't help either. The highs just pierced through it.

6EQUJ5Try 3-4 pieces of kitchen paper towel hehind earcup, it gets ride of the sibilance but at the cost of soundstage, at least it's not hurting my ears anymore...

6EQUJ5I am pairing my HE-350 with my Audeze Deckard (low gain setting), sound is detailed and sweet even though the "highs" are slightly on the upper end.

joy4856Well, just got mine today. My impression from the "first listen" is quite positive. I can understand why someone call it bright but I am fine with it. Definitely has a fairly strong sibilance character and for some male vocal song, a minor nasal character. That's from the first 30 minutes of listening. I let it played for 3 hours and things are improving. The brightness seemed to be decreasing. I purposely play some Kenny G to check out the high (his soprano sax can be unbearable in some systems). The cord feels pretty solid and I measure it, 1.5 M (4.5 feet), which I think is fine. Overall, I think this 100$ is a solid buy, no regrets.

btbtbtmakiIt is interesting, the AKG K7XX have a very similar frequency response graph overall yet do not exhibit nearly the piercing high frequency that this headphone has.
