Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Mid tones are probably some of the most detailed and defined of my auditory experience so far, but like the low-end (which is just there), it's overshadowed by the sometimes screeching-highs.
If you consider the HE-350s as more like reference monitors, you might be less surprised by the sound signature, if not for once again, the overzealous highs.
But a massive feature of this pair of headphones, the soundstage, is some of the most impressive I have ever experienced. Much more so than the SHP9500s and from what I can recall, more than that of the Sennheiser HD-600s or the Audio-Technica ATH-AD2000X, though it has been weeks since I have listened to either pair of headphones.
If I had to describe the HE-350 to an average layperson, I would called it a "Beats-By-Dre-Antithesis". Suited more for classical or orchestral music with woodwind instruments.
So far, after "breaking it in" for over 12 hours and listening to it in between, I'm somewhat satisfied. For $99 (plus shipping) it has been worth it, though the delay after delay before finally getting my hands on these has tested my patience to near breaking point.
Interested to see how these will sound over time, especially after giving it more opportunity to break-in.
In terms of soundstage, the HE-350 has far more than the SHP-9500.
As my friend described it, "The SHP9500s are more "fun"".
