Guys my pair was just installed but there is always noise comming from the tweeter, even without input, why does this happen?

FSRL2000How do you have them hooked up? Are you running them through a USB interface? Most likely you have a ground loop if you are using the included cable since it's unbalanced.

dashmoopiesI tried connectting them to an external amp and directly to the motherboard, both resulted in noises. Btw I looked at other comments and it seems like I need something called a ground loop isolator.

FSRL2000If you go the ground loop isolator route there's a good chance it won't work, and you'll end up with losing some dynamic range and won't get the full quality. Basically you need a USB DAC with balanced outputs, and two balanced cables to go with it for a completely noiseless setup. A good DAC is a Focusrite 2i2, and just pick up some 1/4in to XLR balanced cables.
It's because your computer is putting out noisy signals since all this complicated hardware is right next to it (fans, processors, GPUs, etc), An external DAC can do all the audio processing outside of your computer tower and give a completely clean signal.

dashmoopiesI already own a S.M.S.L. M8 + Objective O2 combo. Is this good enough or are all DACs at this price point have balanced ouputs? If it is then I should be fine just picking up a pair of cables right?

FSRL2000Oh did you have the amplified headphone output from the O2 going into the speaker inputs? The goal is to use a line level (non amplified) signal into the back of the monitors. If you have a regular RCA out from your M8 DAC try some RCA to 1/4in cables and see if that fixes it. With your setup there shouldn't be that much noise compared to people plugging them directly into their motherboard.

dashmoopiesI think there is less noise but it's still there, I don't have RCA cables long enough so I can't try running RCA directly now. So the only problem I think now is just the cables.

FSRL2000Of course, RCA is an unbalanced cable by nature, so there's bound to be some noise since it's essentially a long antenna. For a perfect setup balanced XLR or TRS (1/4in) cables would be needed but RCA can still sound amazing. See if you can make a good balanced between the speaker volumes on the back being at maybe 5, or 6 and being able to turn up your DAC or Windows high so it avoids some of the noise. I found having the speakers set at 7 or higher brought in some buzzing from RCA.

FSRL2000No, you will get some noise with this setup. A ground loop would help some. What you want ideally is an audio interface with dual xlr or dual trs outputs. This will take one trs output and split it to two ts, or effectively ungrounded, outputs. The third component in the trs plug effectively works like the third prong in an xlr cable, grounding/balancing the signal.
