z80cowboyThis one is the screw type air valve, but the newer Massdrop x Klymit pads have the flat valves: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/massdrop-klymit-ultralight-v

DannyMilksLol well damn, guess ill just have to live with it. The original klymit valve was better, allowed me tho get higher pressures. The thermarest screw type from ages past is really hard to seal with higher pressure.

z80cowboyThe trick is to keep blowing while twisting it shut. Or even use your tongue or lips to press against the valve while twisting. Not ideal but it's a functioning work around.

HubeyDoobyDooWell I wonder if I can get klymit to send me one of the normal twist lock valves and then just pop the screw valve out and pop in the better one. Gonna email klymit, I have my doubts as to them accommodating such an odd request. Ugh I cant understand why they would use a screw valve...

z80cowboyIt was a cost cutting choice and I think these were made in a different outsourced factory in China, different from their regular factory in Taiwan.

HubeyDoobyDooWell all that thought for nothing, refunded due to backorder. So sad... Seems klymit is a source of disappointment here at massdrop.
