Funny...all these people complaining about the thin cables, but you can see in the picture they're thin. Also, this from the description:
" Engineered for durability, the Porta Pro X has a thicker cable with strain relief on the connector and a more robust “Y” split—common points of failure on the Porta Pro. "
Um...if that's thicker, I would hate to see the original.

psicloneThe main thing i would like to know is if the cable is sensitive to movement, thin cable notwithstanding. Some earphones are susceptible to that and its very annoying. As annoying as waiting this thing to arrive, pardon my anxiety.

psiclonethe originals are so thin they are practically wireless. The new ones are magnitudes bigger than that. (laughing nervously).

psicloneI had a pair of the originals. The thin cables became brittle after a couple years. Not sure why. They eventually broke. I patched them once because I loved the sound so much and didn't want to toss them (and I still had a three pack of ear pads remaining), but eventually they snapped again beyond repair. The wires were wicked thin.
