What is SpaceFN and why you should give it a try
The SpaceFN concept - setting up your space key as a layer switch when held - is probably one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby. Let me explain how it works. My SpaceFN article on kbd.news made some rounds recently - quite surprisingly given the age of this concept. This piece you're reading is a condensed version of the full post. If you're left with unanswered questions, you'll most likely find the info you're looking for in the original write-up. Are DSA, GMK and SA Hyperfuse a cash grab since DCS was the OG? What about DCS, Tai-hao, GMK and Maxkeys Miami/Might Nights? GMK, DSA, and Maxkeys Dolch? You get the gist.
People like Pulse colours. People like DSA. I like both.
The hobby has grown exponentially since the initial 2 rounds of Pulse - tons of those people missed out and like the set, this is their chance at owning it without paying a 200% markup on MM; this goes for any other colourway, not just Pulse. This and other similar GBs of assorted designs being rehashed in different profiles is a good thing, just because you dislike DSA doesn't make it bad.
Being an outlier is only something to brag about if you're right and everyone else is wrong which is not even remotely close to being the case here.
