Deciding on Clear vs true
I currently have a ducky with blue switches and one with brown. Used to have a HHKB, and I did like those switches, but not the keyboard package itself. Thoughts?

BigEdMustaphaI personally don't really enjoy tactile switches whatsoever so I'm not really able to help. Halo Trues seem to be popular though.

ChekonjakThanks for asking, love to answer this one! It is a custom-ish mod I came up with: you take the Gateron Blue stems from a milky Gateron Blue switch and drop 'em inside a Zeal housing (nylon housing). The result is a pronounced sound that isn't exactly "cushioned" nor high pitched, it's a solid hit that remind me of a buckling spring.
For spacebars or linears, I love to use a Gateron Yellow stem inside a Zeal housing combined with a 62g spring, lubed. It's just ideal, really solid and smooth for my taste. I love it!

BigEdMustaphaSometimes I mod stuff that won’t even be visible or noticeable, but the joy is in the process! These switch tweaks though, man I definitely recommend.

MiToThose are the most impressive mods to me. Looks can only get you so far. When it comes to actual use, it's gotta be just right since only you can feel it as you type.

BigEdMustaphaI agree, also stabilizers, using properly tweaked stabilizers on a keyboard is like transforming water into wine, changes the feel of quality of a keyboard entirely - if you do it right.

MiToDefinitely. I don't have the tools or patience for that kinda modding yet, but kudos to those that can get that stuff done.
Here's a really cool mod you may find interesting. This is by far my favorite sound from a custom.

MiToNice video! Nice voice in the other video. I like watching 3% on Netflix and so hearing you speak Portuguese made me think of that show. Aside from that, do you always wear gloves when typing? I try to wear them for gmk only since SA keycaps are already shiny. Do you like shine on GMK?

rowieSorry for taking so long to reply, kinda got lost amidst many replies... What you heard is indeed Portuguese (BR), which is my mother tongue and I never watched this 3% show, is it cool? Regarding the gloves, no I don't wear them all the time, mostly just for fun or when I'm doing some sort of work with the keyboards! About shine on GMK, to be quite honest with you, I've never seen shiny GMK keycaps in person (not even at their offices and desks - everyone use unicorn vomit keyboards with random keycaps they like installed instead of a particular keyset).

BigEdMustaphaThis mod is indeed extremely cool, I've seen this video many times - it's so zen! Love the aesthetics, screaming the year of 2000 and those crystal iMac computers! GON is a nice modder, too bad that dealing with him is a bit complicated because he's so swamped with work! When I came to this community, he was, at the end of the day, the only person able to source custom keyboards for people. Custom parts, springs, cases and stuff... He was the only one viable to deal with it.
