"With wash and wear, the denim will gradually shed layers of dye and slowly reveal the white core underneath. "
What's the washing recommendations? Just ctrl-f -ing on the page this is the only line which mentions washing.

enlight10mentIn general, you want to wash raw denim fairly infrequently, to ensure that your jeans fade as much as possible in the right areas(giving a more custom touch to your jeans as fades usually appear at major crease points based on how you wear the pair) . Instructions can be found here: https://www.bespokepost.com/the-post/the-best-and-worst-ways-to-wash-raw-denim but in general you would want to cold wash and air dry.

enlight10mentWash when dirty or smelly. Cold wash, no/minimal spin, line dry.
People typically wash raw denim infrequently, maybe 2-5 times a year, so that the jeans have an opportunity to develop high contrast fades. Unfortunately, there's a lot of misinformation out there regarding wash techniques. The best advice: When the pants are funky, wash them.
