PC37X review
Intro- I'm not gonna lie I really don't enjoy headsets, they are flashy and the audio quality isn't very good not to mention they're usually not very comfy. But every once in awhile there is one or two that come through the wood works and really surprise me.
comfort level - I have been wearing this set for four hours and they are still very comfortable on my head, my ears haven't gotten hot which I would've thought with the earcups but nope nothing.
aesthetics - I am a man who likes things to look simple, I think that this headset nails that. it is a simple matte black all the way around with no flashy lights or stupid decals it has two metal vents on the sides that are textured nicely, there is very little branding on the headset and where it is it's done well.
cable - the cable is thin and braided nice and tight, I can tell it is going to last a long time. The ten foot long cable is nice as it allows me to get up and close my door.
sound for gaming - positional audio is one of the most important things in tactical shooters, without it you can kiss your ass goodbye if you don't have it as you will have no idea where anyone is. This is by far the best headset i've gotten for gaming, the positional audio is very good, I can tell exactly where people are running in CS GO which is a great help while playing.
sound for music - the headset quality as you would expect is very good as it shares the same drivers as the HD598 family, the audio is very smooth and nice, now im not the greatest audio enthusiast so I can't tell you much all I can really say is that the high and mid range is very nice but the bass is slightly lacking so if you like the wub wub these won't be perfect for you.
mic quality - In my opinion the mic quality is very nice but a little quiet I had to turn up the decibels quite a bit to make it very audible. This is a headset not a studio mic so backround noise is to be expected but there is very little of it. The only noticeable problem is that it does not do well with popping and is noticeable but not bad. here is a audio comparison of a at2020+ compared to the PC37X https://soundcloud.com/the-skeleton-449709252/at2020-versus-headset take note that I wouldn't expect a headset mic to be as high quality as a studio mic but I just thought i'd use that as comparison.
final thoughts - I love this headset and for the price its very good, its all pros besides the mic which is not of the highest quality but this is to be expected as I compared it to a mic which cost more than the headset, I would say for the price this is a amazing headset it is simplistic and comfy not trying to be eye-catching I would compare it to a diamond, while very hard to find deep in the hard dirty rocks of other headsets, it is beautiful and well designed. For their first product in the gaming community i'd say the PC37X's are a great buy and very worth it for any gamer that needs some good positional sound.
extra note - I was not payed to write this review I was simply given a sample headset and told to give my opinion on it so thank you massdrop for this fun opportunity im looking forward to using the PC37X's in the future.

TheSkeleton"I can tell exactly where people are walking in CS GO which is a great help while playing." Please share your sound settings if you can tell exactly where people are walking in CSGO, walking player models in CSGO are silent.

TheSkeletonDid you use HRTF setting on CSGO? I am avid CSGO player, been using IEM to listen footsteps but the positioning sometimes are not correct.

GoodOutcomeYou have to remember that is a 140 dollar studio mic, for a headset mic the audio is good

KOXYProbably a fault of HRTF and I doubt these or any other headphones will make a difference.

TheSkeletonI have 2834 hours in CSGO and played enough hours since beta 5 before they started counting hours.
Player models running make sounds vs player models walking (shift default as walk) do not.

TheSkeletonThanks, I can easily see someone new to the franchise buy these or another headset based on a review stating you can hear walking player models to pinpoint their location.
