My comprehensive review of the PC37X's: the grills for the open-back are either a better plastic or a cheap metal, and the rest of the headphones are cheap plastic and super light but not light in a good way the mic boom is pretty good, and kind of flexible but not super flexible the headband and ear cups are felt covering something, and the inside does not feel super cheap, but not extravagent either they look pretty cool, and it has a nice braided cable the noise isolation on the mic sounds kindof underwater, but the voice itself sounds good the volume knob is a nice touch and i like the not super oppresive small branding on it They feel too tight right now, and I'm hoping they'll stretch out pretty quick I'm going to burn in the drivers overnight if i remember, and i'll give you an updated sound review then but for rn, the bass is heavy and good, while the highs are a little lacking, and that mids are pretty good too bass does get kinda distorted though

djavaisadogIs the build quality that cheap? Do you think the headband may snap after heavy use over a course of a few years (this is the problem I had with my other pair of headphones)?

CoollDaveI don't think the headband will snap. It's sturdy, just light and cheap feeling. I do not believe that it will be falling in the apart any time soon

djavaisadogThanks for the speedy reply! I'm glad to hear that it is still fairly sturdy despite being light.

harrisjtNo, and there never has been. It's nothing more than a placebo, one of many in the land of audiophiles.

datglassthoUmm that's actually not true... I have personally had experience with burning in my speakers/headphones making a big difference in sound

djavaisadogI've been comparing them to my HD 6XX and the PC37X are slightly brighter. I don't like overly bright headphones or speakers so these are in the range of 598's of brightness. Some songs are a little too harsh for me with them. They do sound a little better amped (Shiit Magni Uber) then used through my Iphone. Build quality they are comparable to the PC360 (except the PC360 have metal grills). These sound about the same as my PC360 but with a lot more bass impact. Bottom line, they are an excellent pair of gaming headphones that I don't have to swap another pair just to listen to music or a movie. I did let them burn in for a few hours. Not sure I really believe the whole burn in passed a few minutes thing but I had other things to do and why not. Oh, the bass does sound distorted when I accidentally left the volume on the headset at half and turned up the volume on my phone. Once I realized I'm an idiot and turned the phone down and the headset to full volume it sounded normal. I did not have this problem when I tried it with my Magni.
