How different are these from the PC 363D? I was thinking of getting it for a second PC.
dstrukt.nineWell, this headset here uses the same drivers as the PC373D, so unless the PC363D is a closed headset they should perform rather similar but perhaps with a sliiiiiightly different tuning. The D in those two models is for Digital, they come with a DSP dongle built into the cable that ends in USB, and this PC37X does not have the D. I would rather use my own DSP anyway (right now another Sennheiser product, the GSX 1000, and before that Creative Lab's X7, a Turtle Beach DSS and DSS2, and an Astro Mixamp 5.8).
I'm surprised how good it sounds with music right out from my iPhone!

EvshrugI have also the pc37x and the gsx1000. So far how do you find theses implement with the soundcard? I personnaly find the 7.1 not that defined...not as ''crisp'' as i would want in game...Would you recommend the SB E5? Have you owned one?
insightsurf88One thing I've found, over the years, is that everyone responds to different HRTFs differently, that what works best for me may not be as good for you as another option. So while I have MANY DSP products, I can't guarantee your "mileage," but I would rate the two surrround DSPs as "up there" among the best. Also, as in real life, directions won't ALWAYS be super "crisp" and straightforward, because that's not natural.
The E5's amp specs are higher, I'm not sure how the DACs compare, in practice both have occasionally fooled me into thinking something happened outside the game. I've been having a lot of fun playing Metal Gear Solid V, very atmospheric surround, while Far Cry 4 and Destiny were creating very distinct "tactical Surround," and I want to play the Call of Duty 4: MW remaster because I bet that will have amazing tactical surround!
