Can't wait for this amp to drop again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I could imagine my iFi iTube2 buffering my iFi Micro iDSD Black Label's DAC into the THX 789.
The BL's DAC has the iGalvanic3.0, the iPurifier3, the iSilencer, etc. on the USB cleanup duty. I'm thinking the iTube2 having the various harmonic adjustments (SET, Push-Pull, and Classic tube settings) , the 3D+, and XBass+, would round out, sweeten up, fatten up, widen up the treble, bass, soundstage, while not getting in the way of dynamics. of the THX 789. With the iTube on buffering duty with all the adjustments, I should be able to create an incredible end-game DAC, Pre-amp, rig to die for. Oh, by the way, the iTube2 has a S/N ratio of 119dB so it would be absolutely transparent for the THX789.
ShawnP.Watsonhave you already bought the amp? How does it sound with your set up? I’m currently also looking at the itube2 to bring some body to my music from the micro BL. But I’m also considering to just buy the sms vmv d1 as the ultimate dac and call it endgame.
