YanboWuI think that "not widespread" and therefore no action is not good enough when there is the potential for the switches to destroy hundreds of dollars worth of keycaps. If there is evidence of damage, and Kailh themselves admit that the box switch stem is slightly out of spec compared to regular cherry stems, then some sort of action should be taken, whether you measure each switch stem individually before shipment, or ship new versions later, or refund switch purchases and shipping.

Nster101I like that smaller vendors are selling these switches pre retooling at a heavy discount. And rama is making sure the new stem version of royals go out to participants in the m60 gb, but MD wont do anything. And the vague "i did do some testing" seems like a load.

YanboWuI don't even use or own box switches till now, but this isn't a comfortable statement for me.
What does testing mean?
Cherry doesn't take a switch, test it for a few minutes and call it a day. There is a reason they are testing/emulating the lifespan of a switch to see if it works.
That would be asked to much for sure on this behalf, but unless you havn't tested for a few weeks/month if the materials wont "brake" i would be still scared to put on my GMK Olivia keycaps on an old inventory!

This set will be shipped with our inventory of box switches and will not incorporate any changes Kaihua might potentially make to the box switch tooling.
I did do some testing with various SA and GMK keycaps with our box inventory and I haven't been able to replicate the issues some people have reported in the past month (although that doesn't make their issues any less valid).
With this information, I do think the box issues are not as widespread as the posts seem to indicate. Here are some before and after shots of some of the keycaps we've tested in the past week.
