What is SpaceFN and why you should give it a try
The SpaceFN concept - setting up your space key as a layer switch when held - is probably one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby. Let me explain how it works. My SpaceFN article on kbd.news made some rounds recently - quite surprisingly given the age of this concept. This piece you're reading is a condensed version of the full post. If you're left with unanswered questions, you'll most likely find the info you're looking for in the original write-up. On my imaginary top list of the most useful keyboard features, tweaks and hacks, SpaceFN would deserve a podium finish for sure. But what makes it so special? In short: SpaceFN is easy to implement, easy to learn, costs nothing, can be used with any keyboard, and can improve your productivity instantly. I will list its benefits below, but can state right at this point that the SpaceFN concept, setting up your space key as a layer switch when held, is clearly one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby....

still, very optimistic it will get produced, I've seen kits with 40/100 gotten produced.
There is also 5 nordekit sold in asia proxy, so numbers is 80. With the last few days, it should sell more, possible another 10 or so norde kits, so you should be safe.
The profits from those 300 orders probably make up for the 25 extra Norde kits. Even if they don't from MD's side, they definitely do from GMK's side. This could lead to GMK dropping the price of the extra 25 Norde kits so as to not lose 300 orders from the total bill.
MD might vey well be willing to cancel the rest of your order after it ends if you contact just after it is confirmed that norde isn't to be made. ( don't take my word for it though)
The day someone decides to do a 60% DSA set with nordic ISO layout I will probably throw all my kronor (our currency) at that person and go broke. Happy, but broke.
and hello there swede, dane reporting in, who if it weren't for that damn bamboo case and fancy switches would've stuck to the nordic ISO :)
do you completly skip the nordic/danish keycaps when going ANSI or how do you solve it?
I used to live right next to sweden at Helsingør/Helsingborg :)
I cant really live without the proper layout, guess im too old to change. I recently changes to 60% and that change is still messing it up for me, but I wont return to full size again though.
But I don't know, it's pretty expensive for what is essentially a single novelty key, and it doesn't really fit with the theme of the set. Oh and will it even make the MoQ of 250?
mayby create a separate drop later on after a poll to see if its just us wanting it or if theres more of us?
