Buyer beware. This smells of mapped packs to me.

prplprinceSince these are Masters packs with a foil in every pack, how could they be mapped? Serious question btw.

NatCatI don't want to believe that every offer on the internet is a scam and its all BAD I've purchased enough product online to see trends for loose packs. Although not an exact science mapping a master set is still possible. Most boxes will have 3-4 mythics with one foil rare/mythic. This isn't always true I had a foil mythic and foil rare in one of my boxes while another only had 2 mythics with 2 foil rares. For instance, lets say you own an online store and will open 4 boxes of a masters product for singles. You go through 2/3 of the first box opening 3 mythics, a foil rare and a couple higher value rares I've seen online store and even a few LGS off load the rest of the box to customers. Although this process isn't perfect and you could give up a foil Eldrazi or even 3 $40+ rares a store can decrease the chances if they've already opened those money cards. So with the decreased risk they can sell these packs for $10-$20 a pack and the customer will open a $5 rare and maybe a $2 uncommon foil. On the flip side if they go through a good portion of the box and nothing of extreme value shows up then there's a higher chance that the money is in the unopened packs. Typing this online makes me feel dirty so please don't go buying a few cases and selling crappy packs to Timmys at the LGS. I just want to spread awareness that if you find a deal that seems pretty good on the internet and you're not 100% certain of the supplier of said product I would consider searching else where.

prplprinceThis is the type of information that needs to be shared online. This is what the MTG community needs to hear. Especially with all this "MTG Mystery" nonsense that has been going on. I will say that I do indulge in this from time to time and it can be fun (in small amounts). Sadly, with this new influx of players from Arena, I think they are feeding into this trend and making it worse. It also doesn't help that people do take advantage of tearing through a box and getting 3 - 4 hits and attempting to sell single packs. I am hoping that Massdrop does not support this type of thing, like you explained. I personally will be using these packs to be framed in their order (little project I thought would be cool). Thanks for the comment and representing the great side of the MTG Community!

Spacebar18A friend is doing the same walk through magic's history good luck buddy! Also this comment is for other newer players to the game: I'm not saying to X-off buying loose pack magic product from massdrop or other sources, just be careful of the source. My favorite thing to do with these grab packs or "mystery" packs is a fun chaos draft with friends. You haven't lived until you get M11, Theros, Darksteel as your three and you're past a pack of Guildpact after a pack one pick one inferno titan.
