Finally had time to put it together. I really like the looks of it. I put some extra Nautilus keycaps on it where I could. There are a few people asking if this works with macOS. The default keymapping works OOTB. I have used Karabiner Elements in the past, but that isn't mapping the keys for this like it has for my dasKeyboard.
Update: I was mistaken. Karabiner Elements works fine for mapping this keypad. User error.
Anyway, it looks really nice and I'm happy with it. It didn't take much time to put together either.
bboltnThat looks great man, really fits in nicely with your setup. Any growing pains so far or issues whilst assembling it? Is the under glow that noticeable? Mine has just made it through UK customs and I think all of the keycaps from China and US have arrived already (and most are surprisingly good quality).
The grain on your desk really makes me think I should replace my flat-pack MDF desk with something that has character. Perhaps I should stop spending a fortune on peripheral accessories and replace the junk it sits on.
Lt.KilgoreIt was pretty easy to assemble. I made sure the USB plug aligned with the cut out. I put all my switches into the plate then I placed the PCB on the backside of the plate making sure the switch tabs went into the PCB.
The RGB is brighter than I thought it would be. I haven’t messed with the software yet since it’s Windows only. I’m just using the default layout.
bboltnThat's good to hear. I have the smaller Falcon-8 and did a similar thing when assembling, seems like it might be easier without the single colour diodes to solder on.
What are your plans for it since you're on MAC? Programme on windows or to keep it as is? Given it's wired and mechanical it might make a decent MAC gaming pad? Either way the default look really complements your other peripherals.
Cheers for the info : )
