Glad to see this back on MD! Got mine in the last round, and I love it. The programmer is kinda weird (coming from a Logitech G13), but following the youtube video guide got me through it. I don't like to mess around with the macros frequently (I don't mind experimenting on the G13 at all), but I don't dread making changes either. I just know I'm going to have to stop what I'm doing for a little while to work out a new set of macros.
The only thing this device is missing is layers. If I could program multiple layers, it would be perfect.

DaedYou're right. Why they designed this without layers is beyond me.

MechmindWell, I'm new to the mechanical keys world, but it seems to me like this is an unusually low price point. My uneducated guess is that they figured most people don't need layers, and it would save a couple bucks.

DaedI think the price point is too high. This item has been on MD so many times, the cost of the ingredients should be much cheaper, also the option to just buy the pcb without the case or switches has never been offered.
The layers functionality would be simple to add if it was designed in the first place. It's a good product, but needs more flexibility.

MechmindActually, I'd like to be able to buy the case alone, and hand-wire it with my own switches and ATMEGA. But isn't it cheaper than most other programmable keypads? It's barely more than most of the mechanical numpads I see.
