Do their compasses seem to work decently well?
I know that a little one like these wouldn't be super precise for long-range land nav, but they look nice and seem like a reasonable way to help get your general bearings.
OmniseedYes, for “general bearings” it’s just fine. In the several months I’ve owned MecArmy’s CMP1 it has not stuck once, even after carrying it around all day as occasional EDC.

What are the chances you could buy two of these, then swap the case screws out one by one to avoid ruining the mechanism. I want a solid brass compass. Would be willing to trade as well!
Spike_SPGLThat would no doubt work. I believe the internal compass assembly is self-contained and just drops in (if it’s anything like their earlier compass). I think the plate simply holds the assembly in keeping it from falling out.
Personally, I like the accent that the different screws provide.
