How do these compare to the M6B? I got the M6B in an earlier blue box and found them to be utterly terrible.
I had fit issues with this IEM. I started by buying comply tips which help A LOT. Much better sound. The problem was still getting it to seat properly and then keeping them seated during a workout. I was ready to get a different pair but thought I would give a try to making a "custom" earpiece using Sugru, which is a glue that turns to a soft rubber. There are plenty of descriptions on the internet so I won't describe this in detail and I am happy to post it if people are interested.
Anyway I made the mold and didn't like the sound as the drivers are not strong enough without a tight seal right in the canal. So I cut back the mold to expose the post so it would accept a comply tip. So it is a hybrid of the comply with the stability of the mold. Sounds amazing now and doesn't move at all. Better sound isolation as well but that is not critical for me. Give it a try and you will be amazed!

Used these for about a year before accidentally putting them through the wash with some clothes. They actually still worked for a bit after that but the sound in the left speaker began cutting out after a few days. I ended up replacing them with Jaybird X3 Sport, which fit a little more soundly for working out. I do like the controls and the weight distribution on the Mee Audio X7 Plus's better than the Jaybird's though. All in all they are a good value for the price and while they won't blow you away, they do have decent sound and reasonable battery life.
I just bought these on amazon, but had to return them... I could get them to "seal" in my ear canal, but if I shifted my scalp at all or raised my eyebrows, it would break the seal and ruin the sound... They sounded decent thought.. and I liked the design overall... They have the perfect length cable connecting the earbuds, most companies are too long. Bluetooth worked flawlessly and they are able to be glitch free to around 30 ft probably. I was pretty impressed. But since they don't fit my ear I ordered the X8, we'll see if that's better.

You might want to try the newer X7 model. The nozzle is smaller and allows for a better fit. They do not have AptX though. I reviewed them here:
https://www.head-fi.org/threads/mee-audios-x7-bluetooth-sports-headphones-review.846573/
"The MEE Audio X7 Plus were generally not bad, but way too heavy on the bass end. This left listeners feeling that the rest of the sound profile takes a back seat. They could be a top choice if you really like lots of bass, though"
bvic01
Those are different from the X7 Plus. Those X7 does not support SBC, aptX or ACC codecs, they also have different drivers that don't sound as good as the X7 Plus
Not worth it, in my opinion. Uncomfortable, slips out of my ears (left more than right), and just doesn't sound very good when there are much better sets out there for the same price or cheaper, even. Hard skip on these.
Heirlan
Have you tried different size ear tips? Mine works fine tbh, I am not a crazy audiophile or anything, but after listening to these compared to my old sennheiser mm70i, they definitely have better sound stage and crisp sounds, as well as decent amount of bass. I also own a Audiotechnica a2000x (big can), the x7 drives itself fairly well even when compare to the big can.
Heirlan
+1 for Heirlan. My sentiments exactly. I'm one of the biggest Mee fans in the world—love pretty much all of the other 10 or so IEMs I've bought from them. This one, though, was a let down to me. I tried tip-rolling, readjusting, and inserting with my jaw open and closed. Just couldn't get the right fit and seal no matter what I tried. And even then, the sound I could get was below my usual Mee expectations. I'll happily keep buying their others, though!
I got the regular X7s a week ago, and these things constantly stutter when I run. I have my phone in a flip belt when I run. Is Bluetooth generally that bad that it can't keep a constant connection between a phone in a pocket and headphones, or do these just suck?
dandw12786
I encountered stutter issues when I am out of the bluetooth range and I am using it with my iphone. Tried it with my PC today, the only time I have connection issues is when I was out of range again. Maybe it has something do with your BT module in your phone?
MrFriedRice
Well, I just got a cheap pair of Bluetooth IEMs from Aliexpress, and had zero stuttering issues, ditto with the Bluetooth mmcx connector I got from them a few months ago (and was using until the kineras I was using with the connector died). Yet this is the second pair of MEE Audio Bluetooth buds that have had stuttering issues for me (the first being a pair of X6 Plus). So I hesitate to blame my phone if cheap non-branded ones work perfectly, but I certainly can't dismiss the possibility. But it seems more likely that I've gotten lemons from MEE or that the brand just doesn't like my phone (it's an S7, so not like it's ancient). But I guess I'll stick to the cheap stuff.
So, I've received mine and I think they sound/fit well. My problem is, they won't pair to my Apple Watch. Has anyone here had success with that?
Has anyone had a problem with having these fully charged, using them for about an hour, then turning them off and hear it say power off but the next day it's dead. It has done this eveytime I used it.
haroex1
Yes, mine started doing this after about 4 months of use. Need to be charged everyday because the battery would just drain. Th left channel went soon after that.
johncashin00
I did a warranty claim and received a new one in about a week from the time I shipped it back to them. They emailed me a return label also, so it did not cost anything to ship it back either. If I were you, i would do warranty also through MEE themselves. They appear to have good customer service. I think the warranty is 1 year on these. I hope the new ones i received hold up. I wonder why the battery is draining like that? Bad battery, or maybe they are not completely turning off even after it says power off?
Very disappointed. I bought one pair of these IEM, they worked fine for 3 months, pleasant sound. After 3 months, the volume in the left ear started vanishing regularly, until it stopped to work. I have seen other comments complaining about the same problem. Definitely, for this level of quality, better buy a pair of Chinese IEMs, much less costly !!

Sure, I cleanup several times, no improvements observed.
lukyluky
I would contact the tech support then, it is possible that the left side died.
If anyone is interested I reviewed them here: http://red71rum.wixsite.com/website/single-post/2016/02/13/Mee-Audio-X7-Plus-Bluetooth-Headphone-review I also reviewed them on head-fi.org. I have used them with both the iphone 7 Plus and my Galaxy 7. I find that they have very good range, much better than the Beats Powerbeats2 or Powerbeats3.
red71rum
Those are very informative reviews. In fact, I actually read them a few days ago.
mwthomas10
Cool, glad you like them.
Do NOT recommend. I can't seem to use this while walking around campus to class. The audio consistently cuts out and it ALWAYS takes more than one try to connect them to my phone. I was hoping they'd be good enough to replace my stolen X2's but I cannot recommend these to anyone. They are definitely not worth the hassle.

almost all the connection problems i've heard about were with android devices hmm.... i have an iPhone personally so f i order it i'll hope the apparent trend there will continue for me
iamfullertho
I would dry un-pairing them and re-pairing them, I have never had that problem and I have always used mine with an Android device.
Anybody know how these are for alt rock & classical music? (i play in orchestras and listen to my music for those as well as my more "modern" music)
Got mine from the last drop. Don't recommend. Reallyyy annoying rattle out of the left iem with any type of bass. Seems like any type of QC would have found this problem on my unit. Friend has Sony Bluetooth iems that are 60 bucks on Amazon. Check those out.

Thank you for letting us know friend!
Hey guys! Quick update to my experiences I've posted earlier. I joined the drop in September-ish
EDIT: Update 2/22/17: They've shipped me a replacement unit! Thanks MD!!! Very friendly and attentive support in my experience!
The headphones have stopped taking a charge. They last for less than a minute and the bluetooth name has changed from Mee Audio X7 Plus to "CSR - bc7" which I believe is simply the callsign for the bluetooth communicator thingy in the headphones. Very disappointed to say the least! I can't believe these didn't even last four months. Trying to contact support right now but I'm thoroughly disappointed in a $60-odd dollar purchase not lasting more than a few months. I was really happy to recommend these to everyone a couple of months back, but now I take it all back. I mean, for the few months they worked, these headphones were brilliant. However, for the money, it's not worth the headache these have given me this past week.
Just to be clear, I don't take these things out in the rain, I am careful with how I put them away, I charge them every night, and I'm cautious with them in general. Cannot see what I must have done to kill these things, but alas, they may be more fragile than I thought.

Yeah I've also heard that. Some days I would drain them, then I would just plug em in as I sleep and then take em out in the morning. Yeah no problem!
Provided they are lithium batteries (I don't know how they would get the size or use time without using lithium) then leaving them plugged in shouldn't damage the batteries. Lithium batteries self regulate, that is they draw less and less current as they get closer to full charge. Leaving them plugged in would only be dangerous if the battery controller used institutes some sort of cut off where it disconnects the charging circuit completely until the battery depletes past a certain level and then reconnects. This isn't a normal charging profile for Lithium battery control systems though, most equipment is designed with complex controllers that charge using complex charging profiles. What would be bad for the battery though is depleting it past around 20% which does lower the battery life. Leaving laptops or phones plugged in won't hurt them so long as it's not permanently, it does pay to discharge them down to 20% regularly.
Thanks again for joining this drop! We have submitted the group's order with the vendor and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.

The sound quality, and battery life are both great with these, but they DO NOT fit my ears comfortably at all. I get a headache from wearing them over five minute. They are a hassle to get into the right position in the first place, then they keep falling out. Maybe I just have tiny ear holes. I regret this purchas.
What's the batter life? Could find it.
Jack
Batter probably lasts a few hours in the fridge. Then you'll have to make the pancakes.
Jack
It says about 8 hours in the description.
shipping is a f***ing rip off
Is there any review for this product?
hellfire8888
A little ways down the description, there is a link to Head-fi's Review, http://www.head-fi.org/products/mee-audio-x7-plus/reviews/15261
anyone know how these compare to TaoTronics?
So, previous drop haven't shipped, it's 18 days late from the original ETD, and haven't had any updates from MD since 01/10. And now the drop is active again... my recommendation: the saving is not worth the wait and suspense, buy it anywhere else...
miguelb2
Mine were delivered on the 13th or 14th. You should contact someone.
CEas
thx for the tip. will do... somehow
Anyone know how these compare to the Jaybird X2's? I've had them for a while and they're starting to die really quick and shit :/
People should sign up Fry's junk mail and get the promo code for this at $50 plus free shipping. They also got Fiio X3 2nd gen for $80 no tax. The deals recycle weekly, so if you miss them today, wait a week or 2.

Thanks for this! I love Massdrop, but obviously ten bucks cheaper and free shipping is going to sway my loyalty.
dandw12786
I have the emails but don't see this anywhere...?
20 bucks shipping make it a no from me. If it was 5-9 probably yes. Sucks to live in EU for these drops, but c'mon.
These are great. Got them on Amazon for $78 a while back and don't regret the purchase!
any news about the shipping date? not my ideal first experience here...
Just about there! We've been in touch with the vendor regarding the group's order and they've let us know that they are still working to gather and package the group's order for individual shipment to each of you. We will continue to check in with them throughout the fulfillment process and update the group again as soon as everything is sent out!
Expect another update from us on 1/10 or sooner if something comes up.

any updates?
PeterK
Guys, seriously? there's no update on shipping? we're 21 days from ETD...
Ive been really happy with these. Ive been using them for a couple months now with no real issues. Good sound. They easily connect and have great range. At work I can have my phone on the charger and wander even to the next room as long as the door is open. Outside Ive walked 25ft away and it still works as long as its a clear path. the battery life is quite good lasting 8hrs. My mild issues are at times when I first try to play music it can at times be distorted but dissconnecting and reconnecting fix the issue every time. Also I wish they had a wider range of tips though they fit alright im in between sizes so during heavy physical activity they can slip out, though the memory wire keeps them on my ears. To me these are very small , inconsequencial issues. These have been my first pair of blue tooth head phones so I cant tell you how they measure up but I can say that I have no trouble with windy sounds as ive heard reported with other Bluetooth headphones. They sound great to me!
