The wait is over
What felt like forever while waiting for these keycaps to arrive I'm happy with how they turned out, no warp space bar so great start there. The caps match the product pictures. These caps themselves feel great though it is the 1st set I own that has a smooth pbt finish instead of the texture one most pbt caps have. Let's see lastly the desk mat ties the whole look together so well I'm really enjoying it, It has a more rubbery feel to it different from some mats I have from novelkeys but not in a bad way the contrast is actually nice. Probably like most people here who joined the group buy will be more hesitant in joining another one if we see the name "MelGeek" given the whole communication and proper update problems with drop they faced.

Kind of a long shot but I need the (1.75u shift) and (1u Alt, FN, and Ctrl) if you would be willing to sell me anything you that would be awesome!
The most important key is if you have a spare r4 (1.75u) it can be anything you will not be using, you would literally be the biggest G out there!
I do understand if you decide not to, but just though I'd try and ask.

NicolasJuani will need the 1.75u shift key for my own board cuz i have a true fox layout of the nightfox. however, if it comes with another R4 1.75u, i will definitely consider it. why dont u drop me a message in a couple weeks by which time im hoping the product arrives?

Read through the QC for the keycaps reviews, and it appears I was one of the lucky ones that had no problems whatsoever. Great aesthetic, and a must have for any OW fan. I have a problem with the mat having fold marks... hopefully it will go away after I soften it up.

Slightly Disappointed, Quality Control is bad
I was unfortunately the unlucky one. I ordered the base, novelties, and desk mat during the group buy. Everything looked great until I opened the novelties kit. This was the worst deformed spacebar that I have ever purchased in my life. Pictures attached show the deformities. (orange spacebar is fine, blue space bar has the defect) Other than that, everything was fine.

LykeSorry to see that some of the batches have spacebar warping issues, something I'm really anxious about too when I purchase PBT sets. Have you tried the hot water or hairdryer trick?

Row 0 has the Row 1 profile, Row 5 has the Row 4 profile. So dissapointing.
Oh man this hurts. I was so excited for this set. It looked soooo good in the pictures but once I put it on my keyboard it became immediately apparent that there was either a massive mistake in manufacturing or pure laziness by the creator. Row 0 and Row 5 in MDA has its own, independent profile that's unique from the other rows, but on this set Row 0 is the same profile as Row 1 and Row 5 is the same profile as Row 4. Additionally. the return and backspace keys aren't the same height as their respective rows either, just being slightly taller than the rest. I see that the row 0 keys have row 1 written on them, unlike the other rows which are labeled correctly, so its even more glaring once you see it. Once I saw it my OCD went nuts and it was now all I could focus on. I was expecting a uniform set, properly shaped keys, and I feel like what I actually received was a test batch not meant for actual shipping. There's other problems too. The holes on the back side of the keys are just a tiny, tiny bit smaller than they normally are and a few of the keys, plus and enter on the 10-key, I had to work at getting to slot in for 5-10 minutes. It says PBT plastic, but it sure feels like ABS. I don't like that I can see the RGB through the orange keys but not the white ones. They should either be visible on all of them or none of them, it's too distracting otherwise. Additionally, if you have a 96% board there's going to be a couple keys that are only available in the modifiers pack, the one that was already sold out. I reached out to Melgeek to see if there was another batch planned so I could complete the set and the answer was no, this is a one time thing and no more are coming. Ah, great. So it will just never be complete then. Awesome. Overall a bad experience. The keys LOOK great, especially in photos, but my fingers are so confused by the jumps in height between row 0 and row 1, the missing right shift key, and the difference in height on return and backspace. Feels like an Aliexpress purchase, not something from drop. I like MDA better than MT3 but Matt3o offers a much more reliable purchase (plus the extra keys I need are offered in his base set). Probably won't be buying melgeek sets in the future.

Well worth the wait
Although there was a hell of a delay, it was well worth the wait. It looks exactly the way the pictures stated they would and the PBT is really nice. I love how they are uniform and the font is really well done.
The novelties are also pretty awesome, with my favorites being the spacebars. Overall a great set for an even greater price that I'm happy to have in my collection.

MDA Profile Advisory
I missed out on this GB when it originally ran but managed to cop the extras. I currently own two sets of MDA profile keycaps (Nihon and this set). The profile itself is rather nice but the manufacturer seems to make small mistakes that may affect the users experience depending on the person. This may sound miniscule, but for both MDA sets I've owned including this one, some keycaps have been made in incorrect row profiles. For my Nihon set, the 'B' key was a different row than the rest of the bottom alpha row. For this kit, my '4' and '5' key for the numpad are row 2 profile instead of the advertised row 3, but my '6' key is. Because this profile has a rather subtle sculpt IMO, this isn't AS noticeable but still worth mentioning. I was able to get a replacement in the correct profile for my Nihon set, but I could care less about this one as I'm only using the numpad kit temporarily. Overall it's a decent profile to type on and I am a big fan of the "Off-White" brand (which was why I had to cop this set) but be weary for future MDA keyset GBs regarding mismatched row profiles.

Big fan of the mda profile. This is a bit of a poorly managed project though. Goes to show that good design and good product are different things.
Also it’s frustrating when drop sells base kits that don’t include compatibility for their own boards. I didn’t fork out for the modifier kit so now I’m missing the right shift for my alt

Id honestly just need any 1.75 cap you wont be using if you have plans for the 1.75 shift... I just really need it to be r4 I am willing to pay $10 per cap
