I've been watching previous GB's on this kb and as far as I'm concerned, it's WAAAAY over priced. Sure do hope MD brings it to us at the price point it should be at for what you are getting. Fingers crossed. Not because I need a 40 but because I just want to add it to my collection but not at the price the previous $200+ group buys have gone for.

Neblin7I've spoken to Evangs, this GB price will be less than rd 1. You'll see come this Friday.

rwhite025It's in the headlines for the email they sent out regarding the drop - don't know if you got it. "Pile in this Friday, August 19, 6am PT."
There's no limit shown anywhere so I'm assuming they can produce as many as is necessary much like the latest WhiteFox drop.

VigrithYes sir, I agree. BTW, what are your key switch plans, Virgrith? I haven't decided yet, I know I want the new keycap set that's going to be offered. I know the case color I want too, not saying anything ........b/c it's a new color..........:) I know that I'm bringing my laptop to work this FRIDAY. It's been an awesome month.....gaterons (blacks & clears), complete set of Gem artisans , & a new VAN!

wsjones1981I'm not sure which switches I want yet actually, I really wanna try Zeals but I don't know how to go about getting some in a cost efficient way (I reside in Europe), I tend to be a fan of lighter switches though and my boards right now are all either brown/red or topre - been meaning to try gateron clears and MX whites for fun (for different reasons) but as said depends on what's made available with the MiniVan drop as it'd be hard for me to get my own switches elsewhere.

VigrithUnderstood, I'm currently have some plate mount gat greens and yellows, PCB mount 78g Zeals, have some gat reds on the way (thanks reddit), and waiting on PCB mount clear & red gats. My biggest issue w/ switches is I was a fan of heavy switches; however, now I'm trying to watch it w/ noise at work. My dream switch would be a heavy linear switch. Zeal used to have them; however, he no longer makes them. Looks my future is going to consist of custom spring for linears of my liking.

VigrithI have 78g tactile purple Zeals and they're... so... nice.
Compared to my Ducky Shine II (which has Cherry Clears) they feel a bit... It's an odd feeling... Hmm...
Imagine them being heavy but easy to push? If that makes sense? My clears are very punchy. I need to push past a point, which is a combination of the stem friction and the spring weight.
With my Zealios it's like the friction just isn't there. It's just the spring weight. Which is a nice, yet odd feeling to get used to.

wsjones1981Oh yea, gat greens and yellows are interesting too for sure, especially greens - as said I tend to be a fan of linear/tactile and light to medium stiff but super heavy greens have always had me intrigued and I've never tried the Cherry alternative.
I used to love blues when I was younger but the noise started to annoy me far too much, especially once I started being more serious about my music and the clack clack clack kept creeping in through my open headphones. I really want reds to be my favourite but I can't help but prefer browns and topre for now. I'd love for standard keycap sets to be topre compatible, my FC660C doesn't get nearly as much use as I'd want it to because I'm a sucker for custom sets.

VigrithLOL, it's the same for me, I loved blues; however, that noise gets annoying very quickly. I only use my pok3r mx blue at home & nowhere else. i've become a fan of browns too. The funny w/ reds and me, is I feel like I have a love/hate relationship w/ them. I've never tried topre or alps; hopefully, I can try them sometime in the future.

AyynoI built my WhiteFox entirely of R2 78g Zeals. I know exactly what you are trying to explain about their feeling. Oh their feeling.... Did you say he (Zeal) discontinued the 78g switches? =(

Neblin7No, I think @wsjones1981 was talking about linear Zealios. AFAIK Zeal still makes the 78g tactile, non-clicky switches.

AyynoYes sir Ayyno, that's exacting what I was talking about. I was excited when Zeal attempted the pink Zeal linear. I really hope Zeal Linears come back.
