Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

But anyways, on to the review.
All I can say is, wow. I bought these simply because I loved the idea of dual drivers for each ear, having a dedicated driver for low frequency... love it!
These things were a complete surprise, honestly. I own a pair of the Shure 215LTD headphones, which were my first 'above entry level' headphones... and I thought those things were king. I was so wrong. The SS01s are very bass powerful, which I LOVE. But when I say bass powerful, I do not mean that the bass is overpowering. With that statement, I mean that if you have bassy songs, these headphones will deliver everything you ask of them. The bass comes out clean, vivid, and clear just as its meant to sound... there is no crackling or distortion like you get in cheappo headphones. The bass is my #1 favorite for these IEMs, aside from the looks, of course. So if you primarily listen to bass heavy music and don't like colored overpowering bass, these are for you.
The overall sound signature is distinctly U shaped, with soft tones and absolutely nothing is colored or overpowering... this means that the sound is "genuine", the music is produced as it was meant to sound. A quality I loved about my Shures can now be gotten for only $45... absolutely amazing.
Cosmetically they are simply stunning. Whenever I show them off to my friends they are amazed by the dual drivers, and find that one being dedicated for low frequency is the coolest part. They are very unique, and because of this... THEY STAND OUT.
I know I'm repeating myself here, but the amount of quality you get out of this buy is quite literally the best thing around. These headphones are severely underrated and in my opinion are ranked right up there with my Shure 215LTDs ($150). These will now be my primary pair for their high quality sound and their unique look! Very glad I bought these.
