Really Amazing Stock Linear Switch
I'll admit I was rather hesitant to buy these switches considering there is a lack of sound tests and being a relatively new switch on the market from an audiophile company in collaboration with, from what meager first page google scrolling I did, a rather fledgling switch manufacturer. Honestly sounds like a recipe for disaster or at the very least a mediocre product but both Moondrop and G-Square have delivered a very smooth and quality stock linear switch.
Honestly these produce a sound I'd expect to hear in line with other well-regarded switches most notably I'd say the sound is similar to Boba U4T. Long pole switches like U4Ts make a popping kind of sound when bottoming out and these are no different I'd say these are obviously quieter due largely, I think, to the lack of a tactile bump. All in all I'm very pleased with the sound and the factory lube job seems to do a fantastic job and eliminating any kind of spring ping and rather consistently too as I didn't really have to do any cherry-picking or notice any lemons in the 3 packs I ordered.
I installed these in my GMMK Pro w/ AVX Works FR4 Plate, StupidFish 3mm plate and case foam, Durock V2 stabs (wires lubed with xht-bdz / sliders lubed with 205g0) and SA Oblivion keycaps and have a basic sound test typing ~90wpm linked below recorded on my Blue Snowball. (Sorry for the background noise it's my PC and a TV in the next room.)

Incredible packaging, silky smooth, refined sound, and lovely color :)
Title says it all. These are by far the best packaged switches i have ever gotten. The lunalight linears feel creamy smooth, and the the tessence tactile almost reminds me of a topre membrane feel. I don’t usually like tactiles but i like these. I sound tested both in a preonic and in a cannon keys atlas and they sound great.

Good switches, possible quality control issues
I purchased 3 packs of the linears, two of the packs were really good stock even, but the third for some reason had different color pins and was scratchy and sounded completely different, they were still linear though. Upon contacting drop they gave a replacement for the faulty ones, the replacement was the same as the first two packs and was good.

After falling in love with this switch the first time around, I decided to buy a couple more sets for new builds. Short story shorter: for me, these no longer qualify as "audiophile" switches from the box.
The reason is simple and a bit unfortunate: the factory lubing that set these apart just isn't as good this time around. The first batch had springs donut-dipped in grease, which dampened the metallic sounds normally associated with long springs. This second batch lacks the grease at the base of the spring - so while the switch still feels great, the sound just isn't clean anymore. It's metallic and a little crunchy.
That's a shame, because not being metallic and crunchy is what made these special - and if these aren't going to be any better than any other Haimu tactile moving forward, there's no reason to spend any more on them.

----- I've been using the Tessence tactiles for a week or so now, and they've left me similarly impressed. The bump is medium-strong and starts right up at the top - but it's also fairly round. It's not too unlike the TTC Bluish White / Matrix-01 tactile stem, but a little more force is required to crest the bump. These bottom-out on long poles (and do have slightly reduced travel), and being Nylon, they produce a wonderful and snappy clack. Little to no metallic noise. The sound is similar to the Lunalights, but a bit louder by default thanks to the peak force of the Tessence bump being heavier than the bottom-out weight of the Lunalight springs. They might be a little strong for fast typing unless you prefer slightly heavier weights, but man are they satisfying to use. If you enjoy bumps on the stronger side and want some clean tactiles, I happily recommend giving these a shot. There are lots of switches I like, but these have quickly earned a spot near the top of my list of favorite tactiles.

Absolutely one of the best stock switches I've tried in both linear and tactile variations (I have probably 100+ switches on my switch tester and 3000+ on shelf/boards). Smooth, no spring or leaf ping, just a little bit of scratchyness on the linears. You can lube them but they are perfect fine to use as it. Love the light bump tacticle feel and good for those who want a premium version of a brown switch. While not a lot of light pass through for RGB, enough for shinethrough caps on a north facing board if you're into that but would recommend for non RGB builds. Good price, especially if you can use them with DKC discounts and will pick them up whenever I need more switches and have a DKC coupon available.
I have the tacticle ones on an FR4 plate, DCX caps, No foam Space80 and it sounds very poppy, clean clack. A nice change from all the foamy gasket boards that I have a dozen of and trendy these days.

I ordered the Holy Panda X clears, the Idabao x Kaihl Elf purple silents, and these Tessence Tacticals. Having never tried any of these switches, I was quite excited to try them all out. I had previously tried the three main Cherry switches and a few linear and clicky Gateron, and in general I thought I liked clicky switches best.
After trying these three new switches from Drop, The Moondrop Tactile Tessence switches are my favorite by far! They feel kind of similar to the Holy Panda X, but better in every way. The tactile function feels slightly more intense on the Moondrop's, they sound way better than any other switch I've tried right out of the box, and there is no scratchyness at all. The Panda's remind me of the Tessence with a slightly lighter spring/tactile feeling, scratchy, and more wobbly/loose. The Tessence feel and sound like somebody that knew what they were doing redesigned the Holy Panda X to be smooth, have tighter tolerances, and a more pronounced and consistent tactility. These Tessence also have a much more poppy/thocky sound than any of the other switches I've tried by such a significant amount that I can't find another switch that even sounds remotely similar to these badboys.
I've never lubed switches before, but from all the explanations and reviews I've read from other's that hand lube their switches, These Moondrop Tessence seem to be the closest thing to hand lubed custom tactile switches that I've ever found right out of the box!
I would say that the Elf Purple Silent switches we're a close second in smoothness and typing feel but they are indeed silent like the title suggests.
For me, these Moondrop Tessence are the clear winner, and if I ever was going to build a keyboard that I wanted switches that were amazing right out of the box I would choose these again 100%! There is nothing I can' think of they could have done better, and I will be ordering the Moondrop Linears as well because I love these so much :)

These are edging out the Drop Holy Panda X's - something about the bump - stock too
Only downside was the thin top foam in the packaging allowed the switches to move freely within the main sleeve during transit, and not a single one from my two sets were seated in their tray. Sounded like a pair of maracas.

Luna Light and buttery smooth
First I have to say I really appreciate when creators take the time and energy to design packaging. I realize that's not the main reason I make most of my purchases, but rather a reminder of the quality of craftsmanship that goes into the product. These small additions are the icing on the cake.
The logo and packaging is beautiful and even included a card that I'm adding to my growing collection (I guess another thing I'm collecting now lol).
The switches are soft and smooth with a great sound and feel. I'm not really experienced enough to give advice about sound profiles and switch comparisons but I like these somewhere between my oil kings (# 1) and CJs (# 4) as my favorite switches if that helps.
I grabbed a couple boxes during the presale and was pleasantly surprised when they arrived months ahead of the expected delivery date.

Very Disappointed (Tessence)
I recently tried the G-Square White Warrior switches, so when I saw all of the positive reviews of these switches, I was cautiously optimistic. I must say, however, I am very disappointed in the Tessence. For all of the claims that these switches are usable stock, I question either the batch I received or the standards of those reviewers, because that was not my experience - what I was met with was a very scratchy switch, both in sound and feel, and there was rather noticeable ping too, though without opening them up, I am questioning if it's just leaf ping, or a 'crunch' as another reviewer pointed out (see below as to why I haven't investigated deeper).
Some points worth noting:
I ordered two sets of these and only opened one set to test out a few of the switches, so I fully intend to return the unopened box and will ask Drop if they're willing to accept a return for the opened box, since I have not attempted to modify the switches in any way. MAYBE the experience is better when hand-lubed appropriately, but again, that was not necessarily the claims I read in the reviews here. Additionally, I have 30+ keyboards, that's 2,100+ switches I would need to hand lube - I simply don't have time for that. I hand lubed about 5 full sets, but my attention these days has turned towards finding great, reliable switches that feel good and sound good (to my personal preferences) that do not require lubing to achieve such results, if that comes at a premium, so be it, but ideally, there should be a competitively priced switch that checks those boxes. This switch is simply not that.
To make matters "worse," in the same day, I received a new switch that was a tactile - the Gateron EF Grayish switch. While it does have a slightly more noticeable bump, the spring weights are negligibly similar. The difference is night and day, though. The Grayish is lubed very well and comes out of the bag very smooth, yet still very much a tactile switch. It is something you can take stock and use immediately with very desirable results - I haven't bothered trying to lube them, but maybe if you wanted to try to mute the sound slightly to make them a little deeper, you could do so. They are also a little deeper than the Tessence, not by much, but side-by-side, they are.
The kicker? They're about half the price of these switches when they're on sale. Grayish switches are $0.28/switch and these are either $0.54 (when on sale) or $0.86 full price - that is INSANITY to me. These are nowhere near worth the premium. You might as well go for hand-lubed HPX switches if you're going to be paying those types of prices.
Another new favorite of mine is the Gateron Mini i Tactile, and even that is priced at $0.60, but it has a very light bump, arguably lighter than these, and are incredibly smooth out of the box as well, so even with these on sale, it's well worth the $0.05/switch difference to just spring for those instead, and full price? No contest.
At the end of the day, I think I am more let down by the community than anything, but considering the White Warriors (yes, I know they're not tactiles, but they're still made by G-Square) are $0.38/switch, I'm genuinely failing to understand in what world these switches cost as much as they do for how poor they really are.
The only reason I'm giving this a 2-star rating is because I know G-Square is capable of more. This switch simply is not good value for the price. There are far better alternatives out there on the market.
