I have to say for a small blade this is awesome, i couldn't believe how well the handle fit in my hand and the overall performance.
I did a one stick fire and used it to baton the log and into kindling, then used it on the ferro rod, their attention to a 90° spine made fire lighting a breeze, more than highly recommended this Eldris.
Super awesome knife, don't listen to people who don't actually know anything about bushcraft or survival, take it from me, I am a certified normal person with a little bit of experience, this knife is awesome as a neck knife BUT it won't do everything so don't get stuck into the dumb all-in-one knife system mentality. Got to diversify, or you're just being a blade bigot.
It's a handy little thing for hard bread, cheese and chorizo, apples and limes, opening packages. Have not had to do any surgery yet. I like it even if the blade is ridiculously short. Actually that is why I like it.
It's a tiny little thing and that is a great feature. It packs away easy, doesn't look like a full blown "rambo" bushcraft knife, but sure does perform like one. Sturdy enough to take a beating when you hit it to chop or split firewood and delicate enough to do some fiddling and carving. Love it and it had a fixed spot in my pack!
I like it. I bought it for specific around the house uses. Came very sharp! A little too short for any type of defense situations but a nice addition to the collection.
Got a pile of these to use as a first knife for the kids, when we are cooking out, open fire, and camping. Small and fits their hands well, manageable blade for small hands. Works for me, also, as a small task and edc/bag knife or neck knife. The sporks were a bonus and the kids love them.
