MorgozlanThis is made with Goose Down.... so yes, it is animal material. If you don't want any animal material, don't buy anything with the word 'down' in it (unless it specifically says 'alternative down' or 'a down alternative'); good luck with your search and synthetic jackets aren't necessarily worse warmth wise as down, they just don't pack down as much as weigh a LOT more.

thefeev...or for that matter anything made from most synthetic materials given they are made from decayed animal matter (aka fossil fuel). ;-)
