minijedimasterits not amd only, you its still a solid 144hz monitor that works fine with any gpu
you do realize its nvidia that puts a premium on their g sync and not the other way around
As someone who has been looking for the perfect monitor for the last 2 years , this is the one (at least for me.) It's color accuracy is not as accurate as my IPS, but it certainly doesn't lack. Couple that with a curved display, and it makes for an awesome immersive experience. It knocks out anything my PC and PS4 throws at it.
Pros
Fast refresh rate - 144hz goodness
Size - 27' is pretty solid even at 1080p. No pixel stretching to my eyes.
Vibrancy- On RTS mode, this makes any game you play look stunning. You may not get super accurate representation on everything, especially web browsing or YouTube, but Movie/Standard mode cover for that.
Price - You'd be hard pressed to find a monitor this quality and size for under 500$
Cons
Color accuracy - Not IPS accurate, and can look washed out on standard mode, but Movie and RTS mode makes up for that. I am often switching in between though.
My biggest flaw with this monitor really only shows when I am playing BloodBorne, as the blacks are not as dark as they should be, and shadows do not hide the environment like it does on a tv display. Otherwise, most brighter-themed games look solid.
No G-sync - Not a huge con for me, and I don't mind considering what I paid.
Vesa Mounting - Not seamless at all. If you dont have just a 75mm mount, you will need this adapter: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005H4GTFE/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
And longer screws than are included. It took me about a month of finding and shipping to get this sucker mounted, so keep that in mind if you want to mount this on a VESA. It will be much faster if you know what you're looking for.
While I woudnt recommend this monitor to everyone, I think it will be a nice fit for a lot of pc gamers like me.
All in all, this is an amazing monitor now that I have my setup completed. For gaming and media consuming, this monitor is perfect for me, and you wont find better for this price. Here are some pictures included (Pardon the cords)
Well "Adaptive sync" is not exclusive to AMD, I'm pretty sure it's just software level stuff. Freesync is AMD exclusive. Unless this monitor has it's own version of freesync and called it Adaptive sync to confuse everyone. This screenshot was taken from a different monitor, this setting is available on any monitor I plug into my GPU including TV's.
... $220... it's $235 on amazon right now. Much rather buy from Amazon and get free 2 day shipping and they're customer service and guarantees for the extra $15
Had one myself from the previous drop.
Needs improvement on packaging for international shipments.
The box was shipped just like you get them off the shelves without any water proof wraps.
My box got wet during shipment, thank god it was all good.
They finally do a gaming monitor drop I could go for but then they don't really discount it and why the hell don't you drop a monitor like this but with G-Sync? Good grief, Massdrop.
These MSi Monitors have an active $20 mail in rebate. I wonder if that will include Mass drop purchases. I would assume it would. Then it's a great deal.
