goldfish117That's what I want to know. But I don't blame Massdrop - I blame MSI.
Also, their laptops are hard to upgrade because they place their motherboards upside down - the opposite of other laptop makers, which means one may actually have to remove it to add an NVMe SSD, if there is a slot for it, or even add a SATA SSD.
Sure, maybe it would cost more with an NVMe or SATA SSD because of the 17" screen (one might expect this price with a 15.6" screen) but I would never pay this much money for such a laptop without an SSD. Those are a given these days, not a luxury addon.

MustangAll the hard drive nvme and ram slots are located on top so all you need to do is remove 2 screws (that are labeled) and slide off the top panel. You can also remove the graphics boards (which are located at the bottom) and slot in new ones if you can find any for sell and can fit.

DiscgearGood to know. This laptop appears. after watching a YouTube video on it, does appear to be easily upgradeable without removing the motherboard, though any NVMe SSDs must be removed to get to the hard drive, if there is one.
I was researching a couple models of MSI 15.6 laptops that were not so easy to upgrade, however, because the motherboard actually had to be removed for any upgrade.
I do like MSI as a brand, and have used their GTX video cards for some time now. I was taken aback by the motherboard/upgrade issue with some of their laptops. Nice to know that this one is not one to worry about.
