Also, their laptops are hard to upgrade because they place their motherboards upside down - the opposite of other laptop makers, which means one may actually have to remove it to add an NVMe SSD, if there is a slot for it, or even add a SATA SSD.
Sure, maybe it would cost more with an NVMe or SATA SSD because of the 17" screen (one might expect this price with a 15.6" screen) but I would never pay this much money for such a laptop without an SSD. Those are a given these days, not a luxury addon.
I was researching a couple models of MSI 15.6 laptops that were not so easy to upgrade, however, because the motherboard actually had to be removed for any upgrade.
I do like MSI as a brand, and have used their GTX video cards for some time now. I was taken aback by the motherboard/upgrade issue with some of their laptops. Nice to know that this one is not one to worry about.
