Rival178From specs the only thing besides the tarp is a stuff sack. I'd guess it's a way to keep costs down.

Rival178I contacted customer support and asked: "On the listing of "MSR Thru-Hiker Wing Shelters" there is confusion as to whether or not the tarp includes stakes and guy lines.
