This latest drop includes Kaladesh/Aether Revolt for a big savings over eBay/TCG
Kaladesh and Aether Have risen to 100$ a box. these boxes also contain the infamous Inventions so at least you could pull a few money cards. Aether Revolt has some punishing cards, 6 out of the top ten cards are rare or uncommon. meaning the Mythics were not the money cards in this set. Walking balista for the win.
Kaladesh is meh, but Inventions !
Price is just.. meh. Today's market price for Ixalan set is $80 each. It's usually available via Amazon or eBay for that price. I see no reason to join this drop.
Sooo, for anyone who IS buying. . . What you guys aiming for? XD. I'm thinking ixalan or Eldritch. Buddy of mine says more edh pieces on the amonkhet set though
These are all rip-offs AND undesirable sets.
On Amazon you can find any of these boosters for $85 ea and if you have prime w/ free shipping you'll be saving $2.99 total and about 6 weeks of wait time.
According to www.mtggoldfish.com, all but the Shadows/Eldrich save you money vs eBay/Amazon. It's only up to $12, though.
This is by no means a deal, they're just dumping old non-desirable booster boxes. I've priced some of these at $140 elsewhere where they ship immediately.

Looks like this is a better deal than Amazon by a few bucks, but I don't know If there's anywhere else better
Felledor
Yeah, I can't see anything considerably better either (I also am not really good at foraging for deal per se), that is why when OP said $140 I was quite curious and expectant.
Are these booster boxes or block bundles? As mentioned in an earlier comment, the pictures and description imply that they're booster boxes, but the name refers to something entirely different.
isormghas
The name says it all. Block bundle as in the Ixalan block. Not trying to be a jerk. Just trying to explain it.
This looks sketchy to me. They say: "all with randomly selected rare and premium cards" What does that mean?? Are these sealed wotc packs or repacks???
JewelleeAnna
They’re sealed. Just the technical description of a sealed ”random” pack.
ddrguitar
Thanks for that clarification I'll take a second look at it.
Just to verify, Magic the Gathering on Massdrop ONLY ships to USA?
bpc1971
correct
Amonkhet and Hour for a total of $176.92 on Amazon atm. Revolt and Kaladesh for $166. You can do better.
Jaexyn
I must be looking at the wrong place on Amazon because I don't see a bundle like this in there.

My comment you replied to is 24 weeks old so good chance prices are a bit different now.
Thanks for the update. I wondered myself if this drop was supposed to be for two or four boxes, but didn't question my good fortune when I could select a box from each set. :)
Update from Massdrop.

If you're going for the Shadows Over Innistrad block, you're better off buying from Mass Drop's other drop they currently have going. You'll save $3 total if you buy both.
Why do you have to choose a box from all 4 sets? If this is for 4 booster boxes, I'm definitely in.
A "bundle" is also the correct marketing name for fatpacks. Pictures and descriptions say booster box though....
What is really being offered? 4 sealed boxes? 4 half boxes which means they aren't factory sealed? This bundle isn't very clear.
Is this two or four boxes?

are you sure? it has you pick four in checkout and it says 287 msrp, which is significantly more than 2 boxes

The specs currently say 2 boxes. MSRP per box would be $143.64...of course you never pay close to that for a normal set when purchasing online, but that's what the normal MSRP is set at.
As for the 'Join Drop' screen that has you selecting 4 boxes, I think someone royally messed up. You should be selecting one of the 4 available blocks, which would have you purchasing 2 boxes total.
Can we get a Massdrop rep to look into this issue? Because if your intention was to draft a block by purchasing through this drop, then I feel like your order is going to be super jacked up.
Either the drop options, or the description is very wrong. The description says you get the two booster boxes from the block that you want. However, in the drop options to join, you have to choose one booster box from each of the four blocks. This drop most definitely needs some clarification as to what we're all actually getting. If the drop options are wrong, anyone who has joined the drop before it is changed to what it should be should have their orders honored as they are, in my opinion.
Drop very definitely needs some clarification...
Looks as though they either did the description wrong or the drop options. With the current drop options you have to choose a set from each block, which would mean 18 boosters from one set in each block. Meaning they wouldn't be a factory sealed box. Rather than the 2 booster boxes from the blocks like the description states. They gotta get someone to proof these drops before publishing... It honestly isn't that hard....
I would also like to know if they are factory sealed boxes, and what's the deal with the validation on the order page.
So does this give two of the same booster box or one of each?

I figured it was two boxes, one box each from that block as their note specifies which to choose at checkout: "At checkout, choose from the following: Battle & Oath Bundle, Shadows & Eldritch Bundle, Kaladesh & Aether Bundle, and Amonkhet & Hour Bundle." I think an "or" before Amonkhet would make it clear for sure. But then why say choose a bundle if you are giving all 8? :)
amazingronaldo
That's why I thought it seems odd that you can't even join the drop until you choose an individual box from each block.
