I do agree that it does go both ways. For me, my LGS had a habit of selling to some people closer to MSRP than others (which has always bothered me considering I brought some of their most habitual players there) and although they've gotten better about it they tend to lean towards selling specialty sealed product 20-20% higher than what's readily available online. I usually check their case for singles first and they sell other products in the tabletop spectrum so I'll buy that if I see something I like but for special stuff like this they'd be a last resort.
jhowell1030You know that LGS and other physical locations have other costs they have to deal with that online retailers don’t, and that while singles are all well and good, they still have to pay for the cost of the items themselves and rent AND utilities, so complaining that local stores wanting to charge closer to the actual cost is a bad thing is a great way to see those local game stores go out of business.
This is the Best MTG Mass Drop going right now. Actually getting a Deal on the magic cards and getting them under MSRP is fantastic. scoop these up if you can.
The EV of the Challenger decks is already pretty high at MSRP, so this is a strong deal indeed by today's (03/21/18) card values. A price breakdown for the cards in the four decks can be found at https://www.mtggoldfish.com/articles/challenger-deck-lists
If you are in the target audience for the Challenger Decks (i.e. don't own all those cards already) or are looking to make some nice cash of the flippity-flop, this seems like a strong drop.
